I'm USATT 1900 level player and I recently switched to Nittaku Tenaly.
I have always had the most trouble with my forehand, where I had a hard time relaxing my grip and wrist for maximum stroke efficiency. Tenaly handle fixed this problem for me, and I am swinging harder and faster than I could with my previous blades (Viscaria, Korbel, TB Spirit, etc). A pleasant surprise was the playing characteristics of the blade composition. The feedback is nice and crisp, while not sacrificing in power. It can be observed that Tenaly original is a 5-ply blade with a thick center core with thin outer plies. I believe the thick core is the primary reason the blade feels so solid. Point being, when a USATT ~2300 player at my club tried out my blade, he really like it and wanted to know if there is a blade with the exact composition with a regular ST or FL handle. Is there such an offering from Nitakku? TL;DR Is there a known Nittaku blade with ST or FL handle that has the same ply composition as Tenaly Original? |
