I quite like Spectol Red in 1.8mm but they are quite light which affects my fh coming from reversed both sides.

Does anyone know if there is a heavier short pimple preferably with vertical but not necessary but still with soft sponge.  Has to be a modern short pimple?

Adding some lead tape around the edge of your blade is far easier than changing short pips. Find it at golf supply shops.

Softer sponges are usually what make it light weight! I've not come across a hard, light sponge in my 100+ different rubbers so far and not had a soft, heavy sponge

Can you explain more how it affects your game? Have a hard time Seeing that the weight is mu h different campared to inverted rubbers. Is it too headheavy? Maybe can try to a different blade too. Do not know if the weigth is much different between rubbers.

When I use inverted both sides my fh has more weight behind it, if I use a 30g bh spectol red sp, I net loads of fh off the table and it does not have the same feel when counter hitting.

you would think I could adjust but I don't seem too

I read xiom vega spo are fairly heavy in 2.0mm

Nothing else have changed? The technique is off or something else? I still have a hard time to understand that this can affect your game so much

All DHS sp are a bit heavier than the other, but the pips are a little harder as well, so be mindful of that. The reason your fh off on lighter setup is wrong timing. Step back a bit try to get your timing right, before you move back to you usual position.

What do you use on the FH? perhaps try a heavier FH rubber? I don't think any pip in 1.8 will come close to the weight of a max inverted without it being hard
