I switched my blade to Hurricane Long 5 from a Clipper CR, and it worked wonders! Beat a person I never beat before and he commented that my shots had a lot more quality than before...

With the Clipper you get amazing dwell time, but with shots where you are  out of balance, the shot quality decreases huge. It was a very good training blade that forced me to use whole body power on shots but it's time to upgrade because my strokes are already quite well established.

I felt like with the new blade I actually managed to coax even more spin than the Clipper although it didn't feel like it due to the lack of vibration. There is a lot more penetration power especially on medium pace shots. On powerloops it was an absolute joy to use because I can now give it 70 % power (rather than cranking it up to 100%) and still get a point ending shot.

Surprisingly it is still very controllable in the short game, wasn't as bouncy as I thought it would be. I was able to execute very spinny long and short pushes without adjusting that much.

You will get the same results if you just change your rubbers to tenergy with the same paddle.  What's happening here is you got faster gear and your opponent can't deal with it. The part where you are more relax since you switch to new gear also plays a part.

interesting  having tried both these blades Clipper CR is faster than HL5. Sometimes you make a change that is just better for your stroke or the style of game you play.

Wow... I felt like HL5 is significantly faster and spinnier than Clipper CR but maybe that's just me...
