Yasaka Rakza Z (47-52°) and Rakza Z Extra Hard (52-57°) rubbers are coming out in 2020! Both rubbers are made in Germany.

Life is too short for defensive play.

Do you intend to test them? Also do you know if there are several versions of each one (as in 47, 50 and 52° for the Z)? Just asking because 5° seems like a rather large variance in sponge hardness for a single rubber...or has Yasaka not yet finally decided on the final hardness degrees?

There's no way they will state a range of hardness for a single rubber.

I think we will soon see more really hard rubbers from ESN, they have recently produced some sponges that still retain good elasticity despite the hardness

I have always said this before that rubbers are going beyond the 50 degree hardness level for the modern game.

I think it is standard practice for Yasaka rubber, Confused

Rakza X - 45-50 degrees
Rakza 9 - 40-45 degrees
Rakza 7 - 45-50 degrees
Mark V - 40-45 degrees

You can look at this website:

I don't quite understand what 47-52 and 52-57 degrees means. Is it an approximate value?

That unboxing video shows the protection sheet.  Definitely sticky!
This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

any reviews? Comparison with other Yasaka Chinese-like rubbers (Shining / Rising dragon)? Comparison with other ESN tacky rubbers (Tibhar Hybrid K1, etc)? Comparison with Dignics 09C?

Its closer to Dignics 09C than other Chinese hybrids. Has just a little more tack than D09C. The hard version has an orange sponge and feels harder than D09C. Both versions are also heavier than D09C . I got my sheets from Japan about a month ago

How does Rakza Z (normal) compare with something like Hurricane 3 provincial 39 degrees?
Current Setup: TBS FH T80/BH D80
Official USATT Rating 1815
Current estimated level: 1800-1900.

I can't really answer that cause I'm not an H3 player. I have tried H3 a few times but it doesn't suit my game since I've always played with Japanese type rubbers. What I do notice is the topsheet of RZ is not as sticky and the sponge is more elastic. I think Chinese rubber players would prefer the Extra Hard version. The Extra Hard  feels much harder and has a very fine pore sponge.

The only tacky topsheet rubbers with japanese/euro sponges I've tried is Rakza Z, Dignics 09C , Joola Golden Tango PS , Donic Bluegrip and Spinart(Not very tacky). Rakza Z fits in between Dignics 09C and GTPS. I don't boost but I would bet the RZ Extra Hard  boosted would be awesome.

Rakza Z Extra Hard Max on Lin Gaoyuan ALC

Very spinny but felt MUTED when playing with the FH compared to HURRICANE 3 (Played with H3 since 2009)

-opening loop felt effortless

Need to play with it more. Counter looping, definitely can’t compete with Hurricane 3.

Top end speed h3 > rakza Z extra hard

Brb

I am a total Newb. Come at me!

Hurricane 3 is still more tacky than Rakza Z regular, akso h3 is still a tad harder.

Has anyone played ever played with rakza z and yasaka rising dragon, to give us a comparison between those two?
Also has anyone ever played rakza z with booster?
I ve been playing with t05 for a really long time and I just switched  to rakza z unboosted to my forehand to give it a chance, and it's not that bad. It s just a little slower than tenergy even if you use full power from your body and more unforgiving.
