You couldn't give your geospin the nickname "Tropical Storm of Death".

Thats about all i can think of right now as i havn't played with hurricane.

Good question Alfie.

Hurricane rubbers are more chinese.  More resilient and harder both sheets and sponges.

Geotacky is a combination rubber both euro and chinese.  Elastic thinner topsheet (maybe roughly same thinness than H3 but more soft and elastic).

Geotacky is easy to play with but potentially Hurrcianes got more on geotacky.  Better short game potential and also better killing potential.

Geotacky is a good enough rubber easy to control and play with but for finer play potential and possibilities Hurricanes are better.  Need more skill to play with Hurricanes but you get more out of them.  That is my personal experience.

But I didn't play as long as I could have with geotacky.

Though better felt than telt I always say .

lol tropical storm of death

Another thing with geotacky that it had more of a bounce in it.  That is why it's short game was lesser potential so to speak compared to the harder Hurricanes and the killing power potential too.

I prob wasted my time with all those details.  Basically, Hurricanes are more resilient and have a better 1st and 5th gear.

Glued up Hurricanes are way more powerful, especially H2.

Geospin is lighter, but Hurricanes are faster and can generate more spin.

H2 or H3 are old tech., when 2008 comes around.

More people will be changing to the next generation equipments.

now is the time to switch and to try out new items.

good luck.

Hurricanes are pretty light though.  Much lighter than I'd originally thought.

There are heavier chinese rubbers than Hurricanes.  My 729 40H and 40S are much more heavier.  The topsheets of hurricanes are not as dense as other chinese stuff.  The H2 is heavier than H3 only because top sheet is thicker with H2.

Thats the opposite of my experiences with Hurricane as well as some rubber weight lists. Commerical H3 is almost always around 10 grams heavier than H2. I like the playing characteristics of H3 but it was too heavy for me to use...a 3-4 hour session and it is incredible how a little weight difference in a piece of rubber can wear you down. H2 on the other hand I found surprisingly light considering it is classically chinese in all characteristics.

i think skyline 3 from dhs is a good replacement for h2 since it has the same characteristics but tiwht btter spin and softer sponge and a bit bouncier effect plus 5 grams lighter

I do not think Skyline is a replacement of Hurricane.

Hurricane is faster and Skyline has better control :

Huricane 2 = SPEED + spin  (Wang Li Qin) (Speed 12, Spin 12, Control 10)*

Hurricane 3 = SPEED + control (Ma Long) (Speed 12, Spin 11, Control 11)*

Skyline 2 = CONTROL + spin (Ma Lin) (Control 10, Speed 9, Spin 11)*

Skyline 3 = CONTROL + speed (Wang Hao) (Control 11, Speed 11, Spin 11)*
