My daughter is 1600-1700 and wants a good offensive blade with a thin handle. I’m pretty sure some Nittaku blades have thin handles. Any recommendations?
Joola Zhou Qihao 90 blade
Joola Dynaryz Inferno max - BH
Nittaku Moristo SP 2.0 - FH

BTY Kenta is Viscaria/TB ALC with a thinner handle

Nittaku Acoustic

Yinhe W1, W6 (least expensive option)

I had BBC Charlie and Ross Leidy make me blades with thinner handles. This is the best option if you know what you want.

Nexy Calix/Calix II and Qabod have relatively thin handles - at least as compared to something like a typical Viscaria.

BTY blade spec shows Viscaria and lots of renamed ALC blades like Kenta as identical in properties.

The Cofferlait (ALC with hinoki top) is the Butterfly blade that presents the thinnest handle to me but it's so old. jpenmaster can tell you if the Kenta has such a thin handle. btw he says there it has koto outer so yes, it's a viscaria variant.

yes they have! The purpose is apparently to facilitate a loose grip which is better for spin production.

Funny you should say that ... I was just talking about thin handles with a friend (who's also a part-time coach), and he said the exact same thing...

To all,

Thanks for feedback.  One of the players at our club had a used TB ALC that he didn't use anymore so I bought it from him for my daughter.  I hit with it, and the handle is thinner and the blade has a good feel with plenty of speed.  I can see why many players like it.  Side note: after I glued a used sheet on for her to try it out, then replaced that sheet it was very hard to remove the rubber.  It seems like the blade is not sealed, so I applied a blade sealant that Joola sells.

TSP (now Victas) Award Offensive Reflex 50. Very small handle (23mm wide in ST). Also light ~77-80g), so your daughter may like the weight. Some pros have used it.

Stiga Infinity VPS (Master): fh/bh - Nittaku Hammond CR max
