Hi All,
What do you all think about using Harimoto or Ovtcharov ALC for short/med pips on the BH? I believe the ovtcharov ALC would be a good blade for the pips (especially med pips) due to the following reasons: - Inner ALC blades provide an "all wood" feeling which is important for short/med pips due to its bouncy sponges and therefore providing ultimate control - Harimoto and Ovtcharov ALC blades r 6mm and 6.2mm thickness respectively and has ALC in it. This could be solid enough for short/med pips - They are not overly fast blades like timo boll ALC (which I found too fast for BH pips due to its outer ALC and koto layer). I was planning to try 101 or dr neubuar killer extreme S 1.8mm thicknesses on these blades. I would like to know your opinions and thoughts :).

ALC is flex, so good for topspin with inverted, usually people using short pips play with all wood 7 plies like Clipper or similar.

I found true carbon too thin to use for short pips but I understand why people use 7 ply wood blades for short/med pips due to its superior feeling. However, no one believes inner alc blades like ovtcharov or harimoto ALC would be gd for them? They have very good feeling for carbon like blades

IMO, short pips go well with stiff blades because they are better for flat hits in general.
If there are one inner ALC that is more on stiff side is Ovtcharov because of its extra thickness compared to others.

Ah right fair point. Is there other inner ALC blades that may have similar characteristics to Ovtcharov ALC?

True carbon is thin but stiffer than thicker blades like clipper. One blade that enhances the sink of SP are hinoki blades like some andro carbon hinoki blade.

I see maybe I should try true carbon again. I dont like hinoki carbon blades as I feel they are too fast for me :(
