They look great! And they hit the nice weights.

From the pics it looks like they have SQST handles...? Same as TB ALC, TBS, and M.Maze.

Or are they more rounded like the old Viscaria ST in these pics:

Asked for 2, both at 89g, and got them both at 89. They seem to be as identical a pair of blades as I have ever seen. You can actually fill out a web form at Butterfly NA to get custom blades, but I also called them to make sure they had the details right.  They were $257 each, took a little more than three months to get them, but it was holiday season.

The handles are without doubt a little more square than I think I was expecting (based on pictures of old Viscaria ST, and also compared to my ZJK-ALC), but who knows, maybe that is better.  I am still new to the straight handle business.

Now I am waiting for the rubber to arrive!  Grrrr!!!!!!  Late!

Ball - how much is the extra charge for customization?

Victor, the price of the custom blade was about $110 more than a regular off the shelf Viscaria.  I don't know what it would be if you wanted something a bit more unusual.  Even at that, though, substantially less than many of the ZLC blades they sell.

Since the Butterfly site that allows custom orders is based in Japan, do they even ship to America?

i think:  in theory (not sure about in practice) - you could order it here

i'm thinking the time frame would be about the same.....around 3 months turnaround??

You can contact your regional butterfly distributor and they will place the order for you. You can not order direct from Japan due to Butterflies sales policy. In the United States you go through Butterfly NA.

I contacted Butterfly NA.  They contacted Butterfly in Japan, who then shipped it to Butterfly USA who then shipped it to me.  My guess is that is the only way to do it from here, but I don't know that with 100% certainty.

I used this site:  http://butterflyonline.com/contact/special-orders/

Since I am impatient, after a few days I called them to make sure they had gotten the message and pushed them a little, and then they made the order.  You have to put half the money down up front.

As for the blade and how it plays?  I was pretty happy with the ZJK-ALC ST I had used for the last few months, but for me, at the end of the day, there is nothing like a Viscaria!

My Killerspin Stilo 7 SVR (mostly carbon fiber, illegal ehh). When I bought it, it had two black rubbers. I had to change it recently for Tenergy 64 (red). It's veeeery fast, bu the Tenergy gives me more spin/control. I cannot find the right glue for the rubber though. I am going crazy, but I will be talking to someone from Killerspin soon. I definitely used the handle as a hammer before :)

Prospin, have you always used the thinner version of T05?  If at one point you used thicker, how did things change when you went thinner?

I used to play 2.1mm T05. After changing to 1.9mm, both the forehand and backhand sides were more balanced as they weigh the same. I feel i'm able to generate more power from the blade and at the same time giving me control over the ball. Viscaria is a pretty powerful blade, so 1.9mm shouldn't be a problem in terms of power. My touch game improved, easier for placement of ball.
The sound produced by the blade is a lot louder and nicer too Big smile

@petra: This is NOT the FS-section.
Here you can show us pictures of your paddle.

By the way: you are the only one who posts a crazy mixture of letters and numbers again and again. Did you ever read or watch your own posts?

European Price i can only guess....since the OSE is similar to Chuan Allwood which has been sold at 74,90€ and was also a Made in Japan Allwood at the same time.

Official Price for the OSE in Japan have been 6.850 JPY. Hope that helps...
