has anyone tried this blade yet? I use to play with a matsush*ta pro a long time ago.so i like all wood defensive blades.I am looking for something with good feel.i am thinking about tackifire drive 1.7 and tsp curl ox.playing offensive running around like a maniac gets old sometimes.

i think the violincello is the same as the violin but bigger head, i played with the violin, its good for defensive play and has really great feel, its medium hardness not hard but not soft. its got reasonably hard outer plies(not hard HARD) but this is good for keeping the ball lower which will be good for you because you wanna play defensive. You can do anything with the violin attack, loop, defend, blocks well. Its not exactly a fast blade but its not slow, about medium speed. But its got a very thin handle so you might wanna try the straight handle version which is thicker. Also the flare on the flared handle is not exactly very flared, more squarish, its got a flare just not very obvious, maybe you will like that.
