Hi All,
I will be visiting this weekend and was wondering if there are any places to play Saturday evening in the Plano, TX area. It would be great if someone could point me in the right direction as I am not sure if there are clubs open that take in visitors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

There's two places that I know of in Plano/Richardson. Liberty recreation center and heights recreation center. I'm not positive about the times though so you might want to call and ask.

+1 on Liberty. Did that once and I think I also asked a forum member or two where to play in that area. (Took wife shopping) Met a few players I had Texas Wesleyan Tourneys with. Liberty has showers, so you don't have to ride dirty going back home. Plenty of action there. 6 tables I remember. Even ran into a forum member there. Highly recommended, but not the only place to play.

Liberty Recreation Center, Plano -- 8 tables, challenge play. Lots of 1700 - 1900 players. Maybe 2 to 3 2000+ on occassion. 2-6 PM. Typically busy.
Heights Recreation Center, Richardson - 3 tables, 2 challenge tables. Winner stays on. 1700-1800, usually 1 sometimes 3 2000+ on occassion. If busy then long waits if you don't hold table.
Dallas Table Tennis Club, Dallas, near Royal & I35 E (look up on web) -- 6 tables, quieter. Maybe 4 2000+ players on Saturdays afternoon and evening. Maybe an 1800 and some lower level players. Edited by JRSDallas - 08/27/2010 at 6:36am |

JRSDallas is on the money, though I'd put Dallas Table Tennis Club ahead of Heights
