Hello,
I sell a total of 3 Butterfly Amultart woods. All woods are not original, but fake wood from China. All woods are still unplayed. I accept offers by pn. I ship from Germany. |

Dear jexa,
Thank you for advertising the items the way they are. I remember that thread: http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=39373 You must have felt horrible when you figured out that those blades were fake. I hope you get at least your money back if people don't care. We feel sorry for that. I wonder how those fake blades compare with the original one from Butterfly. I hope somebody who owns a real Amultart will tell us. |

I have a real one for comparison so I am curious. How do you know they are fake?I suppose the head shape is a bit more squarish than the real one but the plies look the same as the real one.

I wonder if among the Butterfly blades that do not pass the quality control, some may fall from the truck and end up on the black market.
We can imagine: 1) a bunch of Amultart blades do not pass quality control _BEFORE_ the labeling job is done. 2) those blades are supposed to be destroyed/burnt/thrown away...whatever 3) some people find a way to declare the blades destroyed in the records while keeping them. 4) the fake labeling is done by amateurs. So we have a genuine fake blade. A bit like when a government give a fake passport to one of their secret agents. The passport is fake but...it's real at the same time. |

I don't know what is the forum policy. But allowing illegal stuffs (fake, stolen etc..) to be sold in the forum may be not the good idea. EBay constantly gets burned for not catching illegal stuffs to be auctioned. I hope that our forum owner would not get burned for allowing free sale.

Good call tdragon!
Butterfly could be mad (with a reason) if we let people sell fake stuff on the forum. This sale is canceled; and this thread can be safely closed. |
