This is the one I was thinking of the 2020, it has a thick enough top ply, similar to the SC, Rossi Force and TSP hino carbons

If you don't mind arylate being mixed to carbon, Yinhe T-7: http://www.galaxysport.de/catalog/images/yinhe_t7.jpg
You can get it for about $30. An no, it's not medium, unless you are a Chinese national league player. Speed is comparable to Timo Boll Spirit.

I tried both. HC.5 is with soft carbon, HC.6 feels however better with hard Yasaka rubbers.

The Dawei GTS meets your requirements very well. 5 ply hinoki-carbon with ayous core. Great blade with good control, rated OFF, and only 32$ at colestt.com. Many good reviews too, can't go wrong at this price and value IMO.

The GTS is my backup blade for opportunity games at work. Good control, nice price, but loud carbon sound. That sound might be an attraction for some though.

Not all Hinoki wood is the same... The one that's widely regarded as the best, and it's easily the most expensive too, is the Kiso Hinoki which comes from Japan. I'm pretty sure most Chinese blades do not use this, but use another type of Hinoki, as it's does not look nor feel the same.

As I know , many manufacturor use imported Hinoki (Cypress) from America / Canada. Only some manufacturors are using Japan Hinoki.. Only few still keep usng Kiso Hinoki (Hinoki from Kiso.
