Hey people

There is a contest in Stiga site and they ask the next question

What stiga blade model did Liu Guoliang use when he became World- and Olympic Champion in 1996?

Somebody knows ?

I heard that Liu Guoliang had used Japanese penholder racket when he was young. And  I heard he lost against Japanese player (shake-type player) at his first WTTC participant, therefore he brushed up his service and finally he became famous.

He became famous overnight by beating Jan-Ove Waldner in 1992 when he was still a junior, sort of like Qiu Yike.

When Liu was defeated by Saive at his final game (China vs World), his fan noticed that he changed Clipper CR to Carbo. Before using CR, his fan said he used Cipper without glue.

It may be true cause i heard a similar story.  He also held the racquet different at some point like japanese style or something.  i would ask my friend cause he has a lot of old videos.

A top Chinese player who does not glue? That's unheard of.
