Sam's 3rd paddle. Thought it would be interesting to post pics. We play @ work often. One of his other paddles became a hard bat. He is putting a couple of my old Bluefire M3 on this to hit with. Balance is nice, handle is top notch, imo. Light blade, 85 without the rubbers...
hickory - poplar - balsa - poplar - hickory Handle is eastern red cedar, poplar, walnut and cherry. adding side picture, hope it shows the layers well enough... Edited by mycuzinvinny - 10/13/2015 at 8:55am |

Good Point Fatt, custom blades now have become associated with visual appeal rather then built with unique player specifications to enhance there style of play. There are endless blade choices on various websites both mass and artisan made but even if a blade is artisan made doesn't mean its necessarily custom blades most are mini production runs of a particular model. This same concept is used in artisan pottery for plate and dinner ware were a single unit is produced then a mold is made of it to produce the entire set.

By "90 with the rubbers", did you mean 90g WITH rubbers? That is a seriously lightweight paddle... I'd probably have trouble with it feeling very head-heavy.

Danzors, good catch, actually 84 without rubbers...
fatt/lineup32, don't worry, we won't be swamping the market with this awesome artisan blade, we will keep the niche market to our casual players at work who only care about having a great time playing doubles during breaks in our daily schedules. My coworkers exposure to table tennis comes from my promoting the sport by shooting emails to youtube links and organizing the in-company tournaments . This thread was opened to show someone's interest in making a paddle merely as a hobby. Edited by mycuzinvinny - 10/13/2015 at 9:13am |

If you dont mind me asking. What does your company do ?
I have background in software testing and currently studying economics and business management to further my career in quality assurance. I want to work for a company that has serious tt players!!! |

We are in storage.
We are casual players, mostly. I am ~1600, give or take, and the others are lower than that. I am the only one to play tournaments/leagues. We just have fun at work. My former company, our competitor, has a 1750, 2 1900's, and a 2300. I left when the competition was getting good. But that is ok, I like my current job better. |

I would suggest starting another thread on companies with strong TT players. I know a some firemen and policemen that are really good TT players. Apparently there is a Firemen/Policemen games - similar to the Olympics and TT is one of the sports. Well these guys are really good - apparently most firestations have TT table. Not sure about the police stations.
