At the ripe old age of 33, Hao Shuai is still
a great player.

Four foreign male players in this season.

Can Jeong Youngsik win a match in this league?

Can CCY win a match in this league?

Both WCT and JYS have won once in doubles, but that doesn't count. Overrated.

CCY has yet to win in anything. Overrated.

The only one who has won in singles is JSH. Still, overrated.

About the only thing underrated here is jackwrong23's extremist bias.

Jeong Youngsik and JSH don't rank in the top 10.
CCy is already 34, well past his prime.

As I mentioned on hkttf.com, when you criticize someone, you need to come prepared. You can't just make up arguments off the back of your head, without any sort of reference to real data.

BTW, I thought you said the ITTF ranking was useless. Don't ever use that to support your agenda. It reflects on your character.

China league is always tough. I read a book from 3 times World champion (1961, 1963, 1965), Zhuang Zedong. He mentioned during China league, lot's of players were very tough. As far as he knew, there were couple of China players (because of conflict of styles) he had no confident. One of them beat him most of the time. There was one year, luckily that player (he afraid of) beat by other player. Finally he won that year (China league).
I notice Ma Long sometimes lost the first game. Most World first class player know Ma Long's style. However Ma Long may not know all of them. So Ma Long lose the first game, he (and his couch) need to adjust and change. Same reason, the chance of Ma Long to lose the first game is much higher during China League because some know him and he doesn't know "someone". Plus every players want to beat the Olympic champion! Lot's of pressure for Ma Long. Less pressure for those players.

Same for Jiang Jialiang. His international career was impressive, right? But back at home, it was a total train wreck. His forehand rallying skill was so strong no foreign players would dare go head-on with him. The solution? Third-ball kill. All I need to do is finish you first before you even get the chance to grab your gun.

Jackwong still at it I see. SMH.

Some people never learn. He lost all credibility when he went on his tirade about WCT being overrated in the other thread shortly before he beat XX.

Then he tried to followed it up with some line like "so he beat one guy, so what"

We get it Jackwrong. You don't like WCT. Point taken... and ignored.

you should not read too much into beating a badly out of form
xu xin, who was out of practise and played no where near his best in that match.

xu xin's level was no where near his best in that match and he sprayed all kinds of errors that he would never give to wct in a hundred years.

Do you hang a lot with xx to claim he played with no practice when he lost to wct?
