Since there's this "glue removal" topic i don't wanna mess up that threat, but I have a question.

When the glue really starts to build up, I was told you could reuse the glue by just applying rubber cement thinner, or zippo liquid. anybody try this? does it work?

yes if u want u can just glue untill u get a small glue layer ont eh rubber then just apply a thinner to it to melt the glue again and then strap it back on to your rubber. or if ur thinking of something different u can peel the glue build-up off the rubber then rooll it into a ball put it into a container then at thinner or wateva other melting agent to it to melt the glue down again so u can re-use ot etc.

no, i'm talking about the first scenario. when the blade the rubber has a glue layer built up, you just apply thinner and then wait for a while and then strap the rubber back to the blade. does it really work??

yes a friend of mine does it, it doesnt have to be a huge glue layer just a little glue layer, my friend uses xylene i think. he just brush some type of solvent on the sponge just like applying glue wait awhile for the solvent to melt the glue again and it works great. but its illegal haha. so u could get disqualified in a tourny
