hi friends, i've decided to transfer a rubber to a new blade but it's a bit smaller than the head - meaning some wood will show around the circumference. Was wondering if anyone knows if it's legal since it doesn't say anything about it in the ittf rule book. this is the shakehand grip i'm talking about, not the racketing covering near the handle rule.
much appreciated

2.04 The Racket
2.04.04 The covering material shall extend up to but not beyond the limits of the blade, except that the part nearest the handle and gripped by the fingers may be left uncovered or covered with any material. |

If the difference is substantial, it will be illegal, I am pretty sure (= uneven playing surface).
