Got myself a new toy. Will give it a try in the next 3 days. But now I am scratching my head what rubbers would work best ...

Can you "predict" playing properties of this setup?

Fast, high throw with good feedback. Very faint vibrations. Perhaps a little low on control.

And if we were to improve a control what do we change then?

The ply Tongue

I have usually had challenge with controlling hinoki plies with chinese rubbers on the backhand. I think forehand should just be fine long as your are used to the Chinese rubbers on forehand but if you do end up lacking control on the backhand side then consider switching to a tensor.

I never even held tensor. We live in parallel universes hehe. On the serious note, switching to faster tensor rubber adds to control? My impression that tensor is faster than any linear Chinese.

Chinese and tensor rubbers behave very differently on different plies. For me, H3 Neo Provincial works great on forehand but the moment I put it on my backhand, I start facing difficulty in controlling strong topspin attacks by my opponents.
With a tensor, the give on the spone actually provides great levels of control. Not all tensors are great in this area but some just stand out. There are many that have an amazing power to control ratio. The relative spin insensitivity has a big role to play here when you compare the control of a tensor and a chinese rubber on an all wood ply.
