I'd rather see LSW vs LeBron.

Who are the professional Athletes from other sports who may have a high rating in table tennis ?

The one I heard are Tony Kukoc (Croatia ?)  of the 1995,1996,1997 NBA Champion Chicago Bulls
and Swedish Golfer  Jacobson both estimated at rating of about 2200

I saw a video of Serena Williams playing UK's Matthew Syed . She was not that good but thought would be good with all that power.

You mean you do not know who Lebron is or what the poster is asking about ?
I think he is asking about professional athletes (from sports other than table tennis) who are not professional table tennis players but are also quite good in table tennis.

I would rather see Ding Ning vs Shaq

High level athletes are generally good at sport in general. Doesn't surprise me kukoc is a high rated player.

We had a guy come into the HS last year and give a speech about drugs.  He was a motorcross athlete I guess who went sideways for a while then got it together.  He spent a long time telling us what a natural athlete he was and could play any sport great by nature.

We had just gotten a table so none of the kids were good yet.  He was beating them all and the kids were watching in awe.  Of course, you know how this ends.  Just being athletic won't help you read spin.

The title of the thread makes no sense.

I interpret the title as best TT players among pro athletes from other sports.
I couldn't find my backhand loop last tournament so I went to the lost and found.

HS, In the 2018 L.A. Open, I walked over to Matt Hetherington between games and asked him to paypal me $5. He asked WHY? I told him last game I couldn't buy a loop and $5 seemed the going market price for a loop. He grinned.
