Some posts in the Triangle TT thread got me wondering.

1.  For commercially rented space what would be the avg number of members per table you need to break even on club costs.

2.  For using city gyms or other facilities with some rental cost how many members per table to meet costs.  May need to think in terms of members per table day since often these are not 7 day a week facility.

3.  How many members per table can you have before overcrowding starts to result in loss of members?  Probably need to Express in members per table hour per week.

I know situations vary a lot but any info would be interesting to hear.

Related to #2: Some clubs operate out of school gyms that they rent for just the weekend on a weekly basis and aroud the school's gym usage schedule. These clubs might rely primarily on scheduled private and group lessons and drop in fees instead of a steady membership base.
Commercial unboosted DHS H3 is very playable up to at least the USATT 2000 level. If you feel different, the culprit is either your skills or your blade.

We have about 4 members per table (13 tables).  We need about 7 per table to stay in business as a non-profit club.  Currently we are a negative-profit club.  Ouch  We are  open every evening for about 6 hours and lease the space.

Don't know about TT in your area. Since there were some funky business in our NGO clubs that we were playing, we actually tired to make a plan to run a tt club. We found out that the members fee / drop-in fee should at least cover your fix cost. You tried to make money from your private / group lessons. If those lessons cannot make a profit, we will need to sub-rent some space.
