Would you please explain in more details? I am interested to know about damaging you mentioned, and which glue did it? I don't have much experience with glues. So would be very interesting to learn form you. I used just 2 types of glues:

I honestly don't know the science behind it, I'm just speaking from experience. In the past, I'd always used Elmer's rubber cement and other than a few edge dings, the wood on my blades always stayed in great condition. After using these water glues for about a 2 years, I can see that the wood on my main blade is discolored and deteriorating. My guess is that the blade is absorbing moisture from the glue and something else in the glue is affecting the blade.
