Hi all,
I need a TT shoe with good high arch support. Those shoes with good high arch support are normally tennis shoe. Are tennis shoe good alternative for table tennis? Thanks, Anthony |

+1 on Asics Gel Rocket4. I use it for hiking too. Ascis Gel Domain is the higher model. Use code "IPFLT447" for $15 off $60 footlocker.

Any good indoor sports shoe with a gum sole will do. Shoes for squash, volleyball and badminton are just as good

Good TT shoes are featherlight, low to ground, and have rounded gum rubber sole edges to facilitate unobstructed lateral shuffling.
Just buy a pair already instead of waffling over volleyball/badminton/soccer shoes. :-) You can buy a gel sole insert for inside your shoes if you need higher arch. I play tennis too, and can tell you that tennis shoes are designed to slide under heavy lateral movement so that you can slide into a shot and not roll your ankle. They do not have enough grip for TT. Stick with gum rubber soles for TT. |

+1. A pair of TT shoes cost about 1 sheet of rubber, and last up to 4 times longer. |
