I saw that as well.  FTW is still a very good player but is nearing 32 years old.
Yes, but Ekholm is 35 years old.

experience Embarrassed; BERGSTROM Linda just def BATRA Manika 3-1; We may be able to see the 4th match (Matilda Ekholm  vs BATRA Manika)

I think it is the same rubber; Pushblockers seldom clean their LPs.
Linda said that one of her training partners played Manika style, so she knew most of their routinesLOL. ANyway, after PATKAR won her match (8-11,9-11, 12-10, 12-10, 11-7), we have the 4th match ClapClapClapClapClap

Matilda wins easily.  Even more so than when Wang Manyu played Manika Batra.  WMY had some troubles the first two games (though eventually won them) against Manika Batra's style.  Ekholm had no troubles whatsoever.

Anyone else having trouble watching the matches that already happened? I can't even login to ITTV, get a "failed to fetch" error on the page. Tried Firefox, Chrome and IE.

Has anyone been able to watch the pre-recorded matches?

Btw, earlier in the day, I was able to watch LIVE.

Using Hola, choose to browse from Sweden, it now works - play prerecorded matches.

Just found out, it doesn't need to use VPN.
It didn't work earlier, but now works.

India playing Singapore on table 5. Singapore wins 1st match.  If Singapore does not win 3-0, we get a Manika Batra/Feng Tianwei rematch.  Though it looks like Manika's form is not as sharp as what it was at the CWG.  Strange also that Constantini Massimo is not coaching here.

Yu Mengyu gives Manika Batra no time on the forehand to forehand exchanges to win in 5.  Not a good tourney for Manika.

She has a unique style among top players. The longer she's in the spotlight, the more people will study her and the tougher it'll get for her.

Now that she is seem realistically I hope it will be another lesson for our fellow members who like  to announce the next wonder someone or other as in the recent Batra thread.  I have to say though for her style, she does make it look quite acceptable.  Does anyone know if she uses some fringe rubber for her FH

Not sure what you mean by the next wonder.  No one expected her to be the next challenge to the Chinese/Japanese women (igorponger's post doesn't count 'cuz you know he's just trollin' LOL ). Doesn't take away the great run she had at the CWG beating FTW (WR #4) twice.

Ponfugrasshopper,  you didn't exaggerate her abilities in that thread.  I was thinking of some others and I was not reflecting on just that thread.

I haven't watched it, but if the results page is accurate, Harimoto won a very close match:

SAMSONOV Vladimir BLR   11  11  6   10  8   2
HARIMOTO Tomokazu JPN   9   9   11  12  11  3
