Hi,I am looking for backhand rubber suggestions for a Nittaku Ludeack racket. FH Rozena, if that matters.
I value: Durable, Low Throw angle (4 or under), Linearity, Medium Hard, Speed > Spin, and less sensitive to incoming spin. Yes, I've used various table comparisons. I also tried out T64 - too fast - Rakza 7 - too bouncy and too much spin. Pro Beta looks promising, but is no longer available. I have considered Hexar Plus ), Pro Alpha (not durable), Hammond CR, Mark V M2, and Bryce Speed (too pricey). Club player, backhand for blocking, looping and flat hitting off the table, and service return. Thank you, Thinman |

Butterfly Glayzer seems like it might meet your expectations. It is harder, lower throwing than Rozena, less bouncy.

My first thought was the old Stiga Mantra M, but maybe even Airoc Astro M would be OK too. Problem is the old Mantra topsheet likes to oxidize which for you might not be a problem since you're not into spin that much.
But other than that it's durability is OK, it doesn't change play characteristics as German rubbers after 1-2 months. Alternatively maybe Xiom Vega Asia, which is similar to T64, but not as fast.

The Vega Asia could work. I have seen a few comments that it works best with a slow blade and mid distance, both pluses for me.
I didn't say this, but non sticky and non tensor are also pluses. Thank you.

Maybe Yinhe Moon 12 Medium+ should be considered. It's very spin insensitive, it has some bounce but nothing like Rakza 7 or Tenergy and it's not as fast as those. Should be faster than a Mark V M2.
The Moon 12 is only available in blue color, not sure if that matters.

Try Stiga Calibra Tour H. Hard, fast, quite insensitive to spin due to non grippy surface, low throw angle. It's my current BH rubber and it works fine for me, very good for hitting with backhand, althought I would like a more grippy surface and a softer sponge. Maybe is perfect fo you. Also discontinued but maybe you will find it in some stores.

Good suggestion on the Calibra Tour; the Tour M looks more promising, though perhaps on my FH. Getting hard to find.
I am closing this discussion for now. I ordered some inexpensive Chinese rubbers just to have something on the backhand so I could evaluate Rozena on the Ludeack blade I bought a month ago. Bought some KLT/LKT Rapid Speed and Yinhe Moon (based on a suggestion from Zwill). There are so many variables, including my style of play and ability to adapt, that suggestions are difficult. The choices seem endless, so I really appreciate everyone's help. Table time. Many Thanks, thinman
