Anyone actually in the round rock sport arena?

I've been doing racket control and there are some people who would use too many layers of glue, their paddle goes over the allowed racket thickness (4.04mm)

In the team competition I know they play 4 singles and 1 doubles (if needed as tie-break).  Do they have to play with 4 different singles players, are they limited to just 2 players to play everything, or can they choose to play with anywhere between 2 and 4 players?

Also in the Men's/Coed team event does it have to have a female member or is it a Men's or Coed team type situation.   If your team's best players were female could they play as an all-female coed team?

Yea co-ed can be any combo of gender. If the team plays with less than 4 players, they will default some matches that can't be played.

To answer the 2nd question, its possible. Just going off memory but Princeton last year may have been an all-female team. This year, Wisconsin was probably the closest w/ 3 females on their roster.

Last year, Princeton's top 3 players were women - Ariel Hsing, Erica Wu, Shirley Fu. They reached the quarterfinals in Coed (with Ariel losing to Grant Li in 5 being the difference) and won the Women's title. I don't know why they didn't play this year.

Wisconsin's top 3 players were women too. They advanced in Coed, and reached the Women's final, losing in doubles there. Pamela Song and Maria Castillo also reached the Women's doubles final. They lost to the Texas Wesleyan pair of Anastasia Rybka and Edina Hracic(?) in the both finals. Their third player Yixin Zhang reached the Women's singles semifinal, losing to eventual champion Ying (Emily) Wang of Ohlone.

In the Coed semi , Ying Wang went up 2-0 on Feng Zhe before Feng decided to turn things up a notch and quickly won 3 straight games.
In the Coed final, Qingwei Sun had a 2-1 lead on Feng, and was 2 points away from winning the title for Mississippi College, before dropping 2 straight points. In the fifth game, it was 8-8 before Feng won 3 straight points.
After that, Cheng Li and Tong Zhang weren't able to repeat their doubles win from last year, and lost to Feng and Jishan Liang in 3 straight. They had a 10-7 lead in the first game but lost 5 points in a row.
Earlier in the team contest, Cheng beat Liang in 3 straight and Bruno Ventura Dos Anjos won a rematch against Yichi Zhang from last year and in the singles, in 5 games.

In the men's singles, it was an all Mississippi College final, with Yichi Zhang beating Sun. In the semis, Zhang beat Cheng Li in 7 games, while Sun beat the top seeded Liang. Feng didn't play in this or in doubles.

In the men's doubles, it was the #2 pair for Texas Wesleyan beating the #2 pair for Mississippi College in the final. Bruno and Shuai Wang defeated Sun and Yichi Zhang. In the semis, the Texas Wesleyan pair took down Cheng Li and Tong Zhang (who won the doubles title last year). The top seeded Liang and Emil Santos lost to Mishel Levinski and Can Wang of Baruch College in the quarterfinals. The Baruch pair fell to Sun and Y. Zhang in the other semi.
Baruch was seeded 2nd in the Coed Team event, helped by winning the Northeast Region, while Mississippi College lost to Texas Wesleyan in the South Region final. However, they were upset by Texas, with Levinski falling to Felix Chan. Baruch met Ohlone in the quarterfinals, and lost 3-1 after Levinski lost to Weida Guan at deuce in the 5th.
Texas won a thrilling quarterfinal against Michigan in front of a hometown crowd on center court, at deuce in the 5th in doubles. They were downed by Mississippi College in the semis, and Ohlone in the 3rd place match.

There are now separate videos for each of the matches that were on the 2 show courts. There was commentary for only 1 of the tables.
