Thanks!! I'll comment on it later when I get to use it more. Though i'll say that it's a dream loop driving backspin balls.

calvin,do you know why ludeac and some other blades have "n-jtta" imprint?what does such an imprint mean?

not 100% sure, but i believe it just stands for Nittaku, jttaa is obviously the japanese tt association (approved?)

in terms of protection or in aesthetic that nittaku's edge tape is better than dr. neubauer edge tape...?

i looked at sombody's blade and it was protected  with a piece of rubber-like material(it is an edge tape) with "dr.newbauer" written on it.it may not aesthetically pleasing ,but is is a great thing to cover the edges.the guys has a thick balsa wood,so he does keep his investment protected(the blade costs somewhere in range of 120-170$)

Go to http://www.tak9.com - www.tak9.com and there r nice pics. of Joola MC-1 FL and ST, I prefer ST one as that handle is quite uniform unlike the big-butted bottom FL. Dandoy has MC-1 for under 40.00 USD.
Seasterl, r u thinking of what I'm thinking...but it's blade's thickness put me off, like 8.1mm for a balsa cored blade...

Let's not think that!  I've got to keep a cool head about buying more blades!  Actually, I like the blades 9-10 mm now.   The thinnest blades I have are the SC at 7.4mm.  (...and to think I used to prefer 5.5 - 6 mm blades!)  If there's one thing I've found in common with most super-thick blades is the awesome feel.  They all feel solid with the perfect amount of feedback.  The thinner blades have too much vibration, IMO.

Devilish thought, I must say...this is the kinda "thought" that got us in trouble, yet so true....SC doesn't look thick it's bcuz it's head size is kinda small that makes it look less thick than it actually is. Like I say, anything between 7.0mm - 8.00mm is still acceptable as it's my new "perspective" now. Embarrassed

I think i saw someone say it's Koto. It's a pretty fast blade, minimal vibration in the handle, definitely less than any of my other blades.

It's definitely better in terms of look, and it provides VERY solid protection. Probably not as thick as Dr. N but much thicker than a lot of other brands.

Not even close. Septear is made up of 7 plies Hinoki wood. Totally different beast from Clipper wood n Ludeack.

Calvin does have some of the most enviable cpens collection wif some of the most expensive rbrs out there. These r just some of his prized possessions/collectibles. It doesn't mean that he can play them all/spend fair or equal amnt of time wif each of them.
If I were him, I'd stick to all wood..that Septear Cpen is nice. This combo wif couple of decent rbrs like Sriver L/EL is more than enuf for me...The rest..I dunno much so can't really comment but ttman does have a point there..

I train 100% of the time w/ my Photino, It has wonderful gears and amazing control. I mean geez, I only use 1.9 on Bryce Speed, of course i know my limits, but i still like to try different equipment. When i play with friends i mess around with the other blades. Btw i spend about 15 hours a week playing.

I really don't like the Septear -.-

dalamchops + gang, I did something interesting with my Ludeack C and MC1 . . . I customized them to standard width, trimming off the extra fat down on the lower sides of the blade. The Ludeack is now 80g and the MC1 is 70g.

Nothing special for me: Mostly DEF blades. Trying some 7ply and carbon blades but it may be too much for me. Rubbers as you can predict Reactor Tornado, Ckylin, Novar & Corbor ... sometimes H3

My Ludeack weighs 78g originally, kinda head heavy though, so if i trim the fat butt it'll make it worse. I thought about sanding the head. My MC1 weighs 73g.

I don't think this is uncommon.

I've got a 66g one and have seen a few more around that mark.

I also think that the 80g versions play better...

How does that Kazan carbon play? Looks nice, might be something I'll look at in the future. Did you get that from eacheng?

Weight totally depends on your playing style.
Speed vs. Power.
I play better when the blade is lighter and I can whip my wrist like lightening. Clippers are VERY rare light (under 84g) and OC are VERY rare under 74g . . . under 70g is almost unheard of . . . 66g is a small miracle. There are many players forced to buy crappy blades like the Wonderblade and others to get under 70g. So, getting a light OC is a wonderful thing!!!!

Ok but most people are proud of their setups like they are their babies, but threads like list of what the pros use and post pictures of your blades are meant to limit the flow of new repetitive threads

Here's my new 2008 edition Stradivarius CP from Xiom, brand new packaging (better?), brand new design. It's weighed in at 82g. It has a better finish on the surface than any other Xiom blade that I've tried (Requiem, Icarus). It's extremely smooth to the touch. Enjoy this photoshoot, sorry for some blurriness on some, i was in a hurry :P

Carbon-Aramid..... isn't also a hybrid blade??? Since it is not an all wood blade, can I category it into hybrid one?

Well. I see what you mean Hybrid. Stiga hybrid and Stiga Carbo would not be categoried the same. Just a misunderstand in the poor english LOL
