Too bad Ryu and Oh are in the low part of the draw. One of them will win the tournament.

Strange, I don't see Lee Jung Woo in the draw.

From Chinese only China Open finalists - Wang Hao and Hao Shuai are there so it will be chance for someone else to win the tournament. It would be interesting.

I think the surprise of the tournament will be Michael Maze. Maze have been playing well for a long time and I think the big result is just around the corner.

Ryu will also be one to watch!

For women singles, China did not send its top players - China has plenty female players in top 100.

They send a few playing in the qualification group - and only one gets into the main draw - SHENG Dandan.

Don't know why.

Joo, Ryu, Oh, Kim, and crew will eat some awsome Kimbap and run the thing right through. I hear that some admission to this event is free. If any of the Korean favorites lose, the winner would have to face an angry Korean rioting mob. Usually, the Police have to confront such a crowd with superior 5:1 numbers, so the opponents got something to think about. It is what home field advantage is all about.

Impressing wins by Ovtcharov, Baum & Maze. The European trio is keeping hopes alive for surprise win. Even i respect and like the Chinese players it would be nice for all parts to have a tournament winner from Europe.

Wow, Sun Bei Bei won Tie Yana. In the fifth game Tie Yana had 5 match points (10-7, 10-8, 10-9, 11-10, 13-12), at that time I thought Sun has no hope. But can't believe she came back and win it!

He will try to attack much more then he did in 2005.

Anyone knows if Maze-Shuai Hao has started, or is it delayed because of the women's match?

Very untraditional way of filming on the stream, isn't it? Especially in the Park-Kim match the angles and perspectives are very odd and exciting with the camera rolling around in the air ...

Dima's playing rather well again against Baum ... I got no picture from Hao-Maze, however judging by the sounds and roars of spectators in the hall, it must be one hell of a match ...

Yes! And he's on his way to taking the second, too ... now 9-6!

Oh boy, so many game points wasted, 13-11 to Shuai Hao ...

On bwin if you're registered (+deposit).

Crazy last game btw. Ovtcharov and Baum, Baum 7-0 ahead, Dima coming back, tearing down a commercial wall, but winning 13-11 in the end ...

Maze must take this game to stay in the match, due to his frail psyche I cannot see him coming back from 1-3 ...

Maze with a lot of easy misses on important balls. Maze waste a big chance today

Back luck, Maze ... Ouch

A shame he isn't able to exploit this aggressive frustration in his game. Now Ovtcharov is the only hope of a European upset. Wink

A final between Shuai-Mizutani OR Shuai-Ovtcharov would be nice, then there should be very long rallies.
I just hope shuai will win over Wang Hao^^

If i could chose, then give me a final Jun Mizutani vs. Hao Shuai, but i think its gonna be Ovtcharov vs. Wang Hao :(         (but i like ovtcharov)

What do you think?

The camera angle is weird on some of these matches. Can barely see the ball sometimes because the table is shining white from up top.

Hope I am wrong but I don't think the chinese will allow Hao Shuai to win. I think they will decide Wang Hao to progress to final in order to secure the title. Wang Hao cannot lose to either player I think but Shuai is shaky against non-chinese.

Strange that shuai has such a good record against the top chinese players but loses to european and other asians.
Hope he wins and plays mizutani

I just hope that Wang Hao is not gonna win AGAIN the tournament zzz
Hao shuai has won a lot of times against wang hao, i think hao shuai has won more then he lost versus wang hao.
Hao shuai is dangerous, he can win against the chinese top.

Chen Qi and Hao Shuai are too different type of players. Chen is a killer while Hao like to block with his BH alot and his FH loop is alot weaker then Chen. Also Mizutani plays in his best form these days so everything could happen. Dont forget how Maze won in Shangai over Hao Shuai with lobs. Mizutani also has very good lobs. But first Mizu has to beat Dima which is hard nut to crack! If he beat Dima (I believe in Mizu) he will destroy Shuai (I think that Dima is much harder player to win then Shuai).

If Shuai doesn't end Wang Hao, then he will win easly i think

Hao Shuai obviously did not read this memo or no one reminded him that he needed to get destroyed. So, Hao Shuai ended up winning 4-1.
