The new range of Donic blades look beautiful, unfortunately they are all very fast and I wouldn't be able to control the fast ones. I have to say - I love the Waldner Legend Carbon a lot, and I don't find it uncomfortably fast at all. I would put it at OFF-, especially at a weight of 85g. The Ovcharov Carbospeed is a notch faster, so probably avoid that. Only used the Espirit for a few moments, so can't really comment on that. ------------- This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated. |

Just received one. Sounds a little bit slower than Clipper Wood per ping but has a tad better dwell time or it seems so. 160x152, 6.5 mm, 83 g. ST handle is square. |

| Actually it's the rebadging of the Persson Powerspeed with a squared straight instead of the round straight handle. I've played with the powerspeed for years when it was ~6 mm cut. With the advent of the 40mm ball the blade got thicker which I didn't like, then production was stopped at least in the USA. |

The three I've used (Legend, Carbospeed, Espirit) have all had the larger head size. It does seem large when coming from a 155x150 blade, and it has an impact when using heavy rubbers. It seems to add a bit of useful flex to the carbon blades though, so it's not all bad. ------------- This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated. |

There's quite a bit of variation in hardness/softness & weight in ayous. So if you go to the trouble of carefully selecting plies for this kind of blade, you can end up with off or off+, 83g or 95g, med stiff or super stiff. And so it is with the Waldner Legend Carbon. My local distributor noted that they had WLCs ranging from 84g - 94g in their stock. I've tried one, and I think the headsize is too big - they don't seem to consider what the balance will be once the rubbers have been stuck on. | All blades seem to perform better with larger heads its just a matter of how much extra swing weight you can tolerate, 160mm at 95 grams seems to be the limit for most people. Especially with rubbers getting more and more heavy. The old Stigas were more like 162-163 but 1.5mm Mark V wasn't heavy. A lot of blades in the 70s were right around 100 grams or even 105 |

I recently bought one and mine is 84 grams. My Juic Nebula(82 grams) has the same headsize and although it's head heavy my racket is not heavy at all.

IMO the legend is similar in speed to the tbs, but with a softer feel. Legend has a faster top gear available with big swings tho. Weight varies a lot - my spare is only 80g. ------------- This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated. |

Compared to Clipper it's thinner (6.3mm x 6.8mm) so it's less stiff and more flexible. A little bit softer and slower but still an offensive blade. It's like a P700 on steroids. ------------- Dynaryz AGR /Yasaka Goiabao 5 / Dynaryz AGR |

I was using persson seven. It's not bad but there is nothing special. Just a little slower than clipper, head size is compact, st handle is squared but a lot thicker than butterfly timo boll alc or xiom feel ax. The problem is, it doesn't have a good feeling. Feels quite dull and avarage. Nittaku ludeack, osp stuff and barwell offers great ball feeling and they are a lot crispy.
