I often wonder when a particular blade is hard to find, whether it's discontinued, or some of the dealers have just stopped carrying them. Some manufacturers, like Donic, actually publish a regular list of blades that are discontinued. I propose we compile a list here, sorted by brands, of the blades that we know are discontinued. As usual I'll run this thread both here and on OOAK, and will keep both lists up to date. If you know of any discontinued blades not on the list, please post them here so that I can add them to the list. i don't think Dr Neubauer Gladiator is discontinued. It is still listed on the doctor's website and available for sale at various online shops.

TSP Black Blizzard Carbon is discontinued. I used to play it for a while and was lucky enough to find a new one left over at a German store a couple of years ago. It´s a pity BTY discontinued thick Arylate blades. In the past we had Moonbean and Pulser and since then, nothing else. I really miss this type of blade.

pretty sure my Butterfly Anatomic is discontinued. It was already rare like 20 yrs ago. i have two blk sheets on it. panda quick spin and i think yasaka do. i check and correct if need be. i used to use it for when i got tired and needed to still play. hinoki gave me the punch i needed and i still had good control. very sweet playing blade still. ------------- WE NEED EACH OTHER, MIGHT AS WELL SHARE IJS !!!!! |

I wonder whether the OP is going to update the list. | I found an old BTY 1 Ply Hinoki with a sticker that says "Render" it had one of those Driver rubbers on it but also has the black tag at the handle so I don't know if it's premade or sold as blade |

| haven't heard of Avalox P600, and could'nt find any pictures. But my guess is that it looks just like P500 and P700. And by info that I can find, it's a 6 ply blade, which makes sense. Why isn't 6 ply blades more common thing? Is that because one core layer gives something more useful than a core made up of 2 layers? |
