Since the 2012 season, the rules have been changed for Chinese Super League such that the deciding game now goes to 7 points (so 7-7 is like 10-10 in regular scoring).

I thought Ma Lin retired. Must have been just from CNT.
How can we get more videos from the superleague? We gota find some source. Are all matches broadcast locally?

Just a nitpick, if 7 is like 11 in regular scoring, 7-7 is like 11-11 - 2nd deuce (not 10-10, 1st deuce).

Matches are broadcast on CCTV-5, the sports channel.
You don't need to wait for janus700, though he does a really nice job with his Short Forms, you can get the full versions directly from the CCTV-5 website.

Sure, you're right, I was hasty with my thinking. 6-6 would be the first deuce score (though 5-5 would also behave the same way, just as 9-9 would in a regular game haha)

What was the reasoning for shortening the 5th games? Matches were too long (time-wise)?
Seems like an odd rule-change.

They changed to this last season already. Other change includes shortening the doubles to best of 3 too All deciders is till 7 points or win by 2 Use new ball, so don't waste time picking up balls
The reason is to shorten the match, because it was too long.

He did use the http://www.sundns.org/discuz/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=354395&pid=7536284" rel="nofollow - VPS V at the German Open 2013.
Then not long after that, http://www.sundns.org/discuz/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=355207&pid=7547687" rel="nofollow - two pictures of what is commonly referred to in China as 人妖板(literally http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathoey" rel="nofollow - Kathoey blade) emerged on the net. They were taken by the editor of the magazine Table Tennis World at the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Heaven" rel="nofollow - Temple of Heaven during a commercial shoot.
So there is a good chance he's switching back and forth.

Well, that's more compelling. Difficult to be 100% about it - how would you see that during match play, even in HD? The Fang Bo match still looks like a thick, brown ply to my eyes in the vid, but it's going to be hard to prove it. He could be transitioning.
And Kathoey - thanks for that. I've learned something today.

Wow - epic reading of the game, if true.
However, I can tell that he wears Ma Long's mum's knickers while playing. They are his lucky charm. You can tell by his stance. I'm an expert in the reading of Ma Long's mum's knickers stances. I'm sure you get my point.

Badge doesn't look quite right for a Viscaria, but it is hard to see clearly. But the bottom of the handle seemed to be flashing silver in some fleeting moments in the video, like a Btfly one.

Not a Viscaria handle based on color (no blue layer). But what is that composite-looking layer on the side of the blade? It doesn't look like pictures of the VPS, it looks a bit like ALC, but hard for me to tell. So Zeio, what do you think it is? Is this a Viscaria with a Stiga handle?

It's hard to tell for sure. The thickness of the spruce doesn't look right, and the smoothness. But given the video source is broadcast in interlaced(1080i) format, then recorded and converted to progressive(720p), and depending on the deinterlacing algorithm, compression artefacts can result for scenes with a lot of motion, like the one at hand.
I own a VPS, though straight, and this looks like viscaria to me. Others?

One thing is for sure, the handle looks the same as the one he used for the commercial shoot and the one he used at the National Games 2013. Another common trait is the missing print on the blade face near the shoulder.

Don't believe everything you see.
Pondus, I know you don't mean that, but what you did is a common practice to destroy the credibility of some surfaced truth. You mix it with lies, over exaggerate it and turn it into one of those conspiracy theories that will later be discredited and the whole thing, together with the truth in it, will be dismissed. This is what the US government did with 9/11 to hide the fact that they themselves blew the pentagon and WTTC7 to get rid of the search for the missing $2 trillion and other evidence. They pumped these conspiracy theories about the whole thing being a government job, but nothing checked out, and the whole thing got dismissed and went away, conveniently with the search for the missing money and a bunch of other evidence ( http://armstrongeconomics.com/2014/05/25/russia-leaks-on-911-oops-didnt-think-of-that-one/" rel="nofollow - reading ).
Now you photoshop Ma Longs paddle and you immediately reduce the importance of all images on the internet. Lets not forget that some of that stuff is actually real, and everyone should use their own judgement about what to believe and what to discard. If you believe everything or discard everything you are going to be off either way.

ZJK won by 3:0 after winning the third set (11:1)

And what do you think happened? I think ZJK won strategically, but I am not sure how. He was blocking a lot. And FZD seemed to have a lot of problems returning his serves.

According to the report, it's a combination of a few things. FZD was under pressure to perform well as Bayi's No. 1 guy this season and he made many unforced errors as a result; ZJK was able to control the game so that FZD wasn't able to get his game going as planned; when things did not go his way, FZD basically gave up in the last two sets. Wang Hao was reportedly mad at FZD after the game for lack of fighting spirit. ZJK also talked with FZD after the game trying to help him find out why he lost the way he lost.

"We have played many times before, but I fell too far behind in this match. It was a very hard match. Perhaps today I was totally shut down by him, and I just didn't get any chance. He scored a big lead early on in the game, and there were not that many ways for me to turn the tide." http://sports.sina.cn/?sa=t24d5984587v4&pos=10&vt=1" rel="nofollow - Fan summarized the match .
When asked what Zhang Jike said to him after the match, he replied "I was told the outcome is not important, that it is best to see me fight for every point, and to never give up the match so easily."

thanks for posting the videos !
and about the Viscaria blade with Stiga handle or other handle....
Personally, i don't think they want to do that. As famous players sponsored by Stiga, they got a lot of endorsement $$$$$. They would lose their $$$$ or contract /sponsorship for doing that. it's not worth it.
Plus, at the top 10 ranking in the world, equipment is not that much different. it's all about the skills ,techniques and experiences.
