Hey everyone,

My club is testing out a live-stream video feed for their 2-star tournament tomorrow starting at 10am EST.  This is our club's second usatt sanctioned tournament and the first time we've tried to implement live streaming.

This will just be a feed of the main table from an ITTF-like camera angle - no scoreboarding or commentary, although we will try to implement more features in the future as we host larger tournaments.  The highest event (U2450) is scheduled to start at 2:30pm EST.

If you guys aren't able to get to a table tomorrow but still want to watch some live table tennis in New York, tune in to the YouTube live stream here!  For people who've done live streams before for table tennis - advice and feedback is much appreciated!

For those who aren't familiar with the New York Indoor Sports Club (or want to watch something while waiting for the stream to go live), these are a few videos shot at NYISC:

Hi, very interesting.
Just one question: there are no umpires ? Is this usual in the USA ?

In such tournaments in Belgium, players are chosen to be the umpires in the first round and then, once you lose, you are the umpire for the next match at the same table.

Some clubs have that system, but most do not.  There is usually no umpire until the later rounds of upper level events.  Major US tournaments do have multiple umpires on staff for championship events though.
