The black side of 'X' player's bat does not meet the requirements. The actual ITTF list does not contain that type. Since 'X' does not have another racket wants to play anyway with that racket. The referee should...

  • A. allow 'X' to play
  • B. do not allow 'X' to play
  • C. allow 'X' to play with the following condition: If 'X' hits the ball with the irregular black side the opponent wins that point

(Edit works! cool!)

Certainly referees dont like this but theye have to accept if somebody opt for using only one side (eg. penholder) if the bat proper from the colour rule viewpoint.
