Can someone direct me to a site where they display the US Open results?  That should be going on in Las Vegas.  Today should be the final.

Not really - it has not even started.

edit: July 6-11, so you are off by a week.

If you go to the USATT website and go to online entry you will see the results tab.  Starts on Monday.

Hou, Yingchao is in.  Given an estimated USATT rating of 2700.
ITTF and Ratings Central both ranked Hou Yingchao higher than any other player listed here.

Hou Yingchao was pretty much World class in his prime. That said, I don't believe unless people have significantlyimproved behind closed doors that anyone has a chance vs. Tokic.

=====================

He may have passed his peak several years ago.  In 2006 to 2007 he was in top 20 on ITTF ranking list, and at that time his RC rating ranged from 2900+ to 3100+ (those are very high ratings).

He is not as good as he used to be, but his chance to win this US Open is excellent.

================================

Hou Yingchao has played many world top players, he has had wins and losses.
His opponents, back then, were "who is who" in the world of table tennis.
I agree with Krislupe's assessment.
(He has never played many of his upcoming opponents here before, but he did play one of them twice: Crisan, Adrian. Hou won both matches quite easily.)

Yokoyama is very good - last year he was eliminated in a very close match Kohei Morimoto, who is the guy that handled Tao WZ this year. Still surprised to see a former Chinese Super Leaguer go down like that.

Today's results were pretty unpredictable. Zhang, Xiang Jing washed away Jin, Takuya. If I am not wrong, Takuya was a silver medalist in japan's national tournament in 2014. He was beaten by Jun Mizutani in the final. Such a good player.

Given the way Eugene beat Jin at a World Tour recently, that was not so unpredictable.

I wish I could've watched the men 40's final between Butler and Bennborn (SWE). Thomas Bennborn is a 2550 version of Philippe Dassonval, but with less body language. Not sure how many forum members will understand that analogy.

Yeah.  Something about his results in the first round showed that he has been training really hard.  The lefty factor also helps.  He does have possibly the most powerful forehand in the US.

65Corlette, Stefan 2011
65Hao, Donglong 2569

Likely an ITTF ranking for playing for a smaller country as a junior.

No ITTF points listed for this player, there must be a different explanation.

There might be a slightly different explanation, but it is almost definitely related.

Yeah.  Tough loss for Yuan however you feel about who you wanted to win.  The games he lost, he lost by the min 2 pt margin every time 9-11,11-13,11-13,11-13 and he won his games by more than that every time: 11-1,11-4,11-8.

Seems like a money thing: "Ooyala offers leading cross-device video analytics and monetization solutions, streaming over 1 billion videos to nearly 200 million unique viewers per month."

Unfortunately, this streamer doesn't hold a candle to YouTube.

There are only a few minutes from quarters to semis, should Jiaqi go past Bo, she will be meeting two younger legs both very tough. She has the stamina...keeping the focus must be there.
Adrianna has gained a lot by training and competing in China/Asia added to the fact she is a "fierce grinder" that never just loses a point, you have to win it from her..

On the men's side can the old man Crisan hold out? will experience on the pro tour pull him through, is it enough?

we will soon find out...

Go Jiaqi!!! :) Clap

click and hold the slider from the end and slide it back to where you want to start, it may take awhile depending on your machine.

it looks like this....if you go all the way back it wil take some time to build a buffer...

He is unable to deal with Kanak Jha's banana return of serve to his RPB so far.
But then Kanak Jha doesn't look like a 2700 player in this match either.
A slightly disappointing match.

Tian pushes too much and plays too defensive. When Kanak serves or pushes short to Tian's BH, Tian usually just pushes it back.  The 2300+ Canadian junior Alex Bu I played a few months ago is also a penholder but he rarely pushes back a short underspin ball, instead he does a banana flip. He does it so well for a penholder.  It's too bad Tian doesn't have that skill.

Dave, I agree with you about his passivity. He has the banana but only used it a few times. Otherwise he needs to have an aggressive forehand flip.

But kanal was so error prone, Tian still had a chance

Stream 2.
Liu Ying (2200, a chopper) is giving Zha Wenting (2450) a hard time.
Now 3 games to zero, the 2200 player is ahead.
The 4th game just started.

Update:  4 - 1, Liu Ying won. (corrected.  I missed one game.)
Zha Wenting is a great attacker, but can not deal with a chopper. She does better against another attacker.

BTW, Zha Wenting earlier beat the #1 seed Elisabeta Samara.

Update-2: Can not find Liu Ying's actual USATT rating.
May be that 2200 is an estimated rating. I just don't know.
