tibhar would have a better chance of selling the blade without drinkhall's name on it.

It's one of those things, if you aren't putting on the name of a well known player around the world, don't put it at all.

Drinkhall is only known in Great Britain.

you know him, and even then you won't buy a blade with his name on it

now Imagine someone who doesn't know of drinkhall; there's no way they will buy that blade.

yes no problems, you assume no one will buy these blades because he has his name on it and I guess they will do ok in their local UK market

He's got slightly more exposure than just here in GB these days, but sure.

Well done Tibhar for supporting improving and emerging talent.  Hope they sell well.

If Drinkhall Powerspin Carbon blade turns out to be Tibhar's ALC/Viscaria/Spirit replacement, as it seems to me at first glance (5+2 construction, koto outer plays, Arylate Carbon inside), it may be successful indeed.

Paul said he uses the Stratus Carbon with modified handle on tabletennisdaily.  So he has to explain that one.

The last thing that comes to mind when I think of a TB ALC is Timo Boll.

The blade has surpassed the player in popularity, it seems, it will still be made after Timo retires.

So you never know.

Hey.  I've heard of Paul Drinkhall, but who are these Ma Long and Fan Zhendong guys?

Besides, I own a couple of blades designed for the British master Ian Harrison, and none of you can be serious if you've never heard of him.  Fantastic backhand.

No doubt Paul is World Class/Level Player.
But I have a question here:
What is the advantage of using Tibhar Paul Drinkhall Powerspin blade?
Haven't seen a single note about that in the review.
These rallies they have done in the video...I think they could do it again with each possible ALC/ZLC/ZLF or simple Carbon blades and rubbers new generation.
In that case...
I think video review must contain some comparison.
I really doubt Paul is using this Tibhar blade.
A year ago someone told me his blade is Butterfly TB ALC.

Never heard that man. I am serious.
Just read he has played at 6 x EU and 6 x World Champs and 1st time in 1956/1957.
You are talking for someone played in the Era where J.O.W was not born yet.

It's .4mm thicker compared to the butterfly's ALC line up (6.2mm vs 5.8mm) which means most probably it'll be faster

He switched his sponsorship from butterfly to tibhar and he's not doing half ass sponsorship like dima, he's using full on tibhar's equipment

The handle was identified as belonging to his blade is likely more accurate.

That's not the point I am making. I have no doubt it is real, but the people who identified the blade are mostly only able to look at the handle.

In the original link (OP) I was surprised by the Drinkhall Defensive blade... looks good btw, although on the lighter side by my liking. Turns out they talk about the defensive superhero named Jo Drinkhall... Is this a relative of Paul's?

Can someone do a comparison between the Drinkhall Carbon, Donic Ovtcharov True Carbon and Viscaria.

I know Baal has done a brief comparison between the Donic OTC and the Viscaria and his conclusion was that the Ovtcharov is slightly faster.

I would especially like to know how the Tibhar blade emulates the properties of the Viscaria - forumers say the Tibhar is thicker. By looking at it, the composite material reminds me of what Donic uses in the Ovtcharov blade.

Hans, I should make an addition.  One DTC was faster, the other slightly slower.  But feel overall for both similar enough for very easy switch from one to another.
