Not sure if this is actually banana flick, is it good for receiving short

side spin serve, or for Under-spin serve only? (This is penhold video)

I would call this a flip but not a banana. The banana mostly imparts side spin, but a normal slip, such as in this video, it mostly top spin.

To side spin you will mostly have to start from the side of the ball.

If you have a practice partner, better to have them multiball/serve to you to learn how to attack different spins and not only learn the motion against a no-spin ball with no speed.

Poor mechanics shown in the video, the arm is too far ahead of the body. To make a good quality banana flip you need to have your body leaning forwards, close to the incoming ball and preferably looking downwards to the ball.

Watch more Wang Hao or Zhang Jike videos, they have the best banana flicks in the game nowadays...
