Hello all. I want to ask you something. I'm a shakehand player with LP on BH and inverted on FH. But I always struggle with the forehand, because I can't smash the ball that come to my body. Today I try to play traditional chinese penhold, I can smash the ball , I can punch the ball with TPB. But I really struggle with backspin serve to my TPB. What are you think if I stick 388d-1 on my backhand for receive the serve only on the backhand side and stick the SP on the FH side ? Thx a lot

Penhold with LP on the BH can work, still depends on skill.

I played a visitor to our club, Jeff Xiao.

Jeff is from S.F. (CA) - he went from west coast to the east coast, and played in our club.

(On business trip.)

He beat some 2000+ players here without any problems.

He is a penhold player: Inverted on the FH, LP (Palio CK531A, black) on the BH.

A 1700 level player like me, couldn't average 5 points a game from him.

Again, "Penhold with LP on the BH can work", still depends on skill.

(He uses his LP to receive serves.)

Thank you skip3119. But Jeff Xiao also twiddle. I'm not. I only use LP if opponent serve come to my backhand ( LP on RPB tu push only )
