How I dealt with a short wide serve at the recent NA teams.

Nice return heavyspin! I always struggle returning the wide short serve to my forehand with any quality.

That's a good answer for it. Too bad I don't have the control for it, haha.

You do - you just have never practiced it.  Heavyspin has video where he practices that return.

Thanks :) True!! The only times I practice it is when someone uses it in a match. I can usually return it by the end of the match, but by then I've already given them like 5 or 6 points.

really good answer, nice shot!
but your opponent also seems to play well regarding tactics, hats of for that. many people just play without thinking, he saw a weakness and used it (until you found the answer)

I initially thought this post was asking for advice on how to deal with these serves.  Then I saw your answer for it. lol

Nice shot!  As soon as I saw the serve the first time I was thinking just let it drop a bit and roll it onto the table  Btw, seems like you need to move your feet more.  In general, not just during servers.  You seem to reach a lot.
