Was he really expelled? The summary doesn't say much.

Also I didn't expect such behavior from FB. What do you guys think?

Video was already taken down. But I'd like to know the cause of his behavior.

He gets a pass this time, and will only be suspended for 2 CTTSL matches, and his club gets fined RMB¥50,000. He will be expelled from the CNT for any more misconduct in the future. His coach Liu Zhiqiang gets fined RMB¥10,000 for poor management and dishonest feedback.

Thanks for the video, not the kind of behaviour I'd have expected from Fang Bo. Guess he wasn't having a great time of it mentally.

FB has always been the one player from CNT who seemed to get pissed off very easily. Seen many racket throws from him in the past, though i didn't think he'd go to this extent.

This did get me thinking that it's a shame that in today's age of YouTube there doesn't exist a weekly or monthly 'World of Table Tennis' show in the way that there is for other sports football, etc.

Format would be quite simple, start with highlights from the big recent matches (ittf tournaments and national leagues), pundits discuss, show unusual or controversial incidents such as this one, go over national league tables and world rankings, maybe finish with 1 feature on a professional player.

Part of the reason why other sports are so successful is not that they keep reinventing their sports but rather that interesting narratives are provided to go along with the matches. Next time I watch Fang Bo play national league now I'll be more interested because I saw this incident.

Fang Bo is the one of most interesting players in CNT. I always enjoy to watch him

LIKE A MAD HARE... Wang HAO vs. Fang BO.

It is is some luxury to watch Wang Hao playing at his peak. A lot of Spin, I really revel so much in seeing those spinny attacks by WH. What a beatiful spectacle, indeed ..

IN CONTRAST, FB performance so boring, he is far inferior player. He used to always rush forwards like a mad Hare. Nor spin, nor control by FB.
Oh, my Dear, we need a spinny ball like hell. SPINNY Ball I desire, to save my life, indeed.

Nice rallies between LGL and KLH... if only we could see them. The ball was so small I can't see anything :)

Difficult to judge the situation. Did the ball actually touch the table? Doesn't look like it. I can understand FB. He is already down 1:2 4:7 and maybe he has some bad history with the player, or something else was already pissing him off beforehand. Of course this is not an excuse, but it happened to me once as well. If everything goes wrong, it is really hard to keep calm if another stupid thing happens.

zeio is the man.
Thanks for the video.

FB's behavior is unacceptable.

It is acceptable as a reality: stuff happens, when I don’t accept it then I run the risk to later see myself as either unaware, senile or plain stupid (like when I read some of my old posts lol). When I make that mistake I want to believe that I fall in the 1st category only but the debate is open.

Thanks to Fan Bo for that 2015 wttc final, he is tt Olympus material since then, he elevated himself to heights from which he’ll never come down, and I am nobody to judge him since he is a semi god and I am just an old fart browsing rating central all day long when I am not starting ittf tour threads long in advance to be 1st. I am getting better overtime so I don’t want to be too hard on myself.

Man, that point!!! It still gives me goose bumps. To honor Fan Bo and the time he spent practicing in the last 20 years to become the hero he is today, I’ll send to a USA based member 6 *** yinhe seamless plastic balls (Unused, new in box) to whoever quotes this and posts a link to that point (HD only please). Of course shipping is on me.

I think the assistant umpire is indicating it clipped the edge whereas the main umpire initially granted the point to FB.  Even though I think the assistant umpire was wrong, FB reacted badly.

Didn't look near the edge...

I see the situation is that  FB served while the point was 4:7 and the blue player goes long and point initially awarded to FB. Then blue player indicated that it was a let (serve touch the net). FB disagree and delay the game. After resuming FB lost the point and kick the towel stand in disgrace and got red card and 1 more point awarded to blue player.

No.  Watch the umpire's hand signals.

umpire didn't call the let serve, the player didn't raise his hand. Opponent player miss the ball and say it's "let" lol. That's why FB is so pissed.

If I do call let every time i miss an opening loop that would be funny lol.

He might have one last shot at WTTC men's singles this year, since up to 5 Chinese players can go if I remember correctly? that should motivate him to behave and prepare for the trials if any.
Question: how would FB play v. HT? on ittf head to head page, or on http://tabletennis.guide/opposition.php" rel="nofollow - that page . They say they never played?
Somehow I believe Fang Bo would destroy HT, not sure why, just an intuition. He is not the kind of guy who will let the kid toy with him with blocks, talent and placement. Actually the fact that he never played the kid might helps Fang a lot (?)

No.  Watch the umpire's hand signals.

I see the umpire first signal FB won the point by raising a closed hand because the blue player's receive was long and miss the table. Then the blue player indicated it was a let (FB serve touch the net). The umpire then change the decision and call it a let by raising an open hand signal. No point award to either side after that and called it a let as the score still remain 4:7.

What umpire signals have you observed that is different than mine?

I remember reading an article that FB is trolled in the CNT because he can beat any player and can be defeated by a lower ranked players like masato shiono and bastian steger and also lost to eugene I guess

Shouldn't the title of the thread  be updated, since it seems FB was NOT actually expelled from CNT?

They can get quite "rowdy" at times.

Hao Shuai and Zhang Yudong got into a heated dispute last January and the former cursed at the latter at the end of the match. I'm surprised Zhang Yudong kept his cool.
