Do the newer chinese hybrid rubbers like Joola Tango PS and Stiga Genesis II need to be boosted?

No, they are already fast enough.

tried the genesis II S and it is slow. Would boosting it with your booster make it even softer?

If both are unboosted, Genesis II M is a lot faster than S. I've boosted the original Genesis S, its a big improvement, but it still wasn't that fast and I still preferred unboosted M to boosted S. I still have a sheet of Genesis I M and a sheet of Genesis II M. I'll probably try boosting them up and giving them a whirl at some point when I get bored, but I'm currently pretty happy playing T80 and Baracuda. I haven't had the desire to experiment with my rubbers much lately.
Drop here!

-------------
Current Setup:
Sittiho Hinoki ALC, Baracuda(max), Dignics 05(max)
Official USATT Rating 1815
Current estimated level: Bad Day ~ 1900 Good Day ~ 2100 (In Asia since 2015, no USATT events here)

Oh, also after boosting I didn't find S to be all that much softer.

Nope, typical booster basically makes rubber springier, similar to speed glue.

What?

Falco softens a LOT of different sponges.

Re: Hybrids:
K1 is a little trickier to manage than Genesis M, but seems to have more gears.

My sheet of Genesis M lost it's factory tune within just a few months; hoping the K1 lasts longer.

You probably have some malware installed.  Could be a dodgy Chrome extension.  Here's a chat about it if you want to read up:

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

If you're happy playing with Tenergy 80 and Baracuda; then my advice would to stick with them, as both are good rubbers.

Familiarity means you concentrate on your shots and overall game.

Again, Falco is not a booster as everyone regards. Lets bring it to be a correct name: softener liquid.
Use pro booster (such as TRF or Nittaku Speed Axel) and compare to Falco.

Falco is a booster. There are two versions, Tempo and Long.

Tempo has a much more pronounced effect.

And they happen to work better on some sponges than others.

They ruins some sponges and makes them mushy.
They make some sponges noticeably faster.
They add some catapult and spin to some rubbers.

There are some "provincial blue sponge H3's" that are VERY compatible with Falco.

In which way? For benefit of the seller or for playing performance?
Apply it then getting bubble quickly.

re: Falco: it is indeed very good - at least with Chinese rubbers and with hard (greater than 50 deg) sponged Euro rubbers.

I asked a 2700 player / friend here (came from CNT B team) what he used in China in his provincial team and here on his H3N. He said Kailin oil. So, I bought Kailin.

I took two provincial 40 deg H3. Boosted 1 with Kailin and the other with Falco Long (two layers each). Only difference was that the layers on Falco were a bit thinner & I waited 2 days longer to glue the Falco sheet.

Put them on my main and back-up blades. Gave to this 2700 player to test.

He said that they both felt the same in terms of performance. Both were as expected to him. So, now, I am left with an extra bottle of booster that I have no need for.

I have used Falco Long for two years on H3, H3N and H3BS. Never had even one sheet bubble on me. During this period, the blade used most often was the Hurricane Long V.

IMHO, ignore the sceptic.

The only attribute I don't know much about is how safe are they relative to each other (in terms of player health). Kailin does seem to smell 'less offensive'.

It's funny you mention that, because I had that happen on a couple Blue sponge H3 that I suspected were fakes.

The bubble never happened when I use it on DHS rubber that I got from trusted sellers.

The BEST, and the REST....

-- How can I know a good pingpangist and an inferior one, instaNTLY?
-- The better players would never boost. Never.

At the very first try, there is no difference. However, pls ask him (the 2700) why don't he use Falco?
