Hi!! I've been using LP/OX on my BH for 15-years, so that's coming along, but still tuning up my FH. Since I don't use much spin, I am conducting another SP experiment. Any thoughts on what would be best for up close, attacking . . . hit, punch block, push/chop over the table play? I need control . . . I can supply the speed . . . hitting through spin is helpful . . . don't want floaters and balls sailing off table.

I've been using Winning Komann NP-8 on 1.5 and it's not bad. Never liked 802 or 802-40 much (I realize many are similar to this, but don't feel comfy with Friendship pips)

Spong configuration?

The Spectol lineup seem ideal for FH use. They have a classic hitting feel, not a tensor springiness.

I could suggest Yasaka Xtend PO but unfortunately it´s been discontinued. It was an Allround SP less springy then Rakza PO. I´ve always used Max thickness but I was a penholder with inverted RPB.
If you can find any it´s worth a try.

Hi tommyzai :)
I would advice to try for hit, punch block push/chop ... meteor 8512 OX :)

I managed to counterhit with that rubber on TB ALC like 5 times in a row really good topspins from 2400ish (actually master of sport in Belarus) level of play guy and finally not me was mistaken - but he did not manage to return it back even though they were a practice rallies :)

What I liked most from that rubber (and none of others could serve well for me there) - finish the point with BH :)

What do you like about the Moristo SP 1.8? I didnt like it at all it had good speed but blocking was very inconsistent. I much prefer Rakza PO.

Is Rakza PO is used by Mattias Falck?

never mind what the pros use.  they use equipment given by their sponsors.  go find something that suits you.  I would say you need something at least with a 1.8 sponge on the FH.

Yes rakza PO is very good. Fast and Spinny and has light short pips effect if you hit flat and through the ball.

That is unexpected.  I find Moristo SP 1.8mm is very consistent with EVERYTHING.  I used Moristo SP 2.0mm, and yes, it was inconsistent with counter-blocking.  One other possibility is that I have been using this pips for more than 15 years, so I got used to it.

I can afford to pick up one more pip. I just ordered the classic . . . . Spectol Soft in 1.8.

Which would have more control, Moristo SP or Rakza PO for punch blocks and hitting through spin of all kinds?

Moristo ax is better to hit spinny loops but moristo has a better balance than rakza
