Hi All,

Where am I supposed to rest my index finger when using short/long pips on my BH?

On the pips themselves or below the pips on that wide strip?

Every pip has a different layout. With P1R your finger will be on pips. Some others have a tall flat strip which I prefer. D.Tecs will extract a tiny portion of your blood as the required sacrifice when you touch it for the first time each session.

I think it is more conventional to not put your fingers on the pips (assuming shakehand grip). But there is considerable variation. The more the pointer finger is out on the pips the more you are favoring a forehand grip.

keep finger as low as possible when using the pips  to avoid the ball hitting it,particularly when blocking a wide one on your f/h side

I wouldn't think that pips make any difference to the way you grip a blade.

However, it is for sure more noticable and if you twiddle it's good to know which side you are flipped to.

Off topic:  I sure get some weird clack when the ball rarely hits the ox part without pips.  Fast as hell.
