After becoming the MVP for the 1st-half season, Hayata said in an interview with TV Tokyo that she will keep it up in February and March. She's probably taking a break?

May be..
She has a Facebook account...Usually she actively comments on all events ...And since the end of January - complete silence ....
It is not clear why she was not included in the number of participants in Qatar Open ....

If you mean this one, it looks more like a fans page instead.

Hayata uses Twitter(mostly) and Instagram instead.

========================
I forgot I had a post on this thread, quite a while ago. I am reproducing that post below:

New woman player from China to watch. (In this Portugal Open.)

Kuai Man (DOB, 2-7-2004):  In U-15 girls, she is ranked world #1.
Let's see how she does in the senior event.

(You can find her best 5 results from above link.  Quite impressive.)
-------------------------------------------------
Youtube has a few videos of her matches.  Here is one: Cadet girls singles final.
https://youtu.be/JcQeTv0GFCc?t=308 (Take a look of this video, she is a lefty, black shirt.)

She is #1 in the world of U-15.  Now we have U-21 and Senior (regular) events.
Can she even get into the Main Draw of either of these two events?

Sure appreciate your assessment.  Thanks in advance.

Above post's video, Kuai Man's opponent is Chen Yi who is world #2 of U-15.
So, #1 plays #2.

There is a big gap in ranking points between #1 and #2, also between #2 and #3.

=====================
Two promising young players:  Kuai Man and Chen Yi (#1 & #2 of U-15 girls)

In U-21 women singles, everyone is in the Main Draw.
In regular women singles, Kuai Man and Chen Yi, each will need to win two matches to get to the Main Draw.

For tomorrow Feb 13, this match has live streaming:
Chen Yi (CHN) vs Su Pei-Ling (TPE) ----- Table 2, 10:10 AM local time (not USA time.)

Kuai Man and Chen Yi, top 2 players in U-15 girls - won all their matches in Day 1.
It is a quantum jump from playing in U-15 to U-21, and to regular (senior) event.

Moreguard Truls:

Moreguard didn't enter U-21 event, he entered Regular event only.

He won one match in the MS preliminary.
If he can win the second match, against Yang Heng-Wei (TPE), he will advance to the Main Draw.
===============

Well several months ago, Moreguard Truls beat Harimoto Tomokazu - 2018 Youth Olympic games.

The above post, you have to shift the window to the RIGHT to be able to see the winner's name.

The winner's name is Moregard Truls. (Moregard beat Harimoto 3-1.)

Moregard Truls is in this Portugal Open, Men's Singles.

Thanks.

Kuai Man advances to the Main Draw.
From U-15 to play in the senior event, that's a quantum jump.

Chen Yi, U-15 world #2, also advances to the Main Draw in WS.

Both Kuai Man and Chen Yi are in the Main Draw.
Hope they have good luck in the drawing - not playing their first match against Liu Shiwen.
If either one plays Liu Shiwen, the young promising player will be a goner.

Although I expected KM to win, I didn't expect this incredible score line:

    MADARASZ Dora HUN   3   3   1   2       0
WIN KUAI Man      CHN   11  11  11  11      4
