Down to 50% now.

Those 3 never lost to their respective opponents before this.
FSQ 3 H2H 0 YJN
WYD 3 H2H 0 Hirano
CM 4 H2H 0 Samara
QTY 1 H2H 3 Ito

Last but not least, CM is the current CNT member who has the highest win rate against non-teammates. SYS is the current CNT member who has the highest win rate (100%) against non-teammates in the Paris 2024 period.

Against non-teammates in WS as of 2023/3/15 (disregarding T2 Diamond):
CM 7 losses since 2015
WMY 7 losses since 2014
SYS 4 losses since 2017
WYD 11 losses since 2016 (7 of which were against choppers, 8 if counting T2 Diamond)

Whenever Bobrow calls the Chinese mixed doubles team world champions, I keep telling myself "Those aren't the XD world champions" until I realized that he was talking about FZD and WMY being the singles champions together as a mixed doubles team.

It is great for a country to have the luxury to test a team with such partners.

I think the handedness just gets in the way, she will do better if she had someone left handed to work with, she needs to be in position to use both her forehand and backhand better and not run all over the place to hit shots.

FZD was wearing a lower back brace but Harimoto/Hayata didn't let "WCT SCT ESS 2022" happen again.

http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=91735&PID=1128747&title=european-summer-series-2022-7-1122#1128747
Quote 9:11, 6:11
Too much for WCQ to carry the pair alone with WMY playing on one leg.
11:7, 11:7

Before the match,
WCQ/WMY: Man/Man
Harimoto/Hayata: Woman/Man

http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=91735&PID=1128752&title=european-summer-series-2022-7-1122#1128752
Quote Hayata: Can you man up for once?

Miwa's brother: Check out my name.

After the match,
WCQ/WMY: Man/Man
Harimoto/Hayata: Still Woman/Man

WCQ had trouble returning Hayata's serve in G1, G2 and G5. If only Harimoto could man up for once...

FZD and WMY are not elite Chinese doubles players , FZD seldom plays doubles and is often out of place in the rallies, Manyu needs space and time for her long strokes , both of them prefer the mid-distance, someone has to stay closer to the table in the first couple of strokes; if this were women doubles it'll be Shasha who's an elite doubles player, and has played enough with Manyu to work in a tango, FZD/WMY just look awkward.

That's your opinion, you seem to be putting their titles on their partners, and that is not fair at all.  Wang Manyu has won events with Wang Chuqin just as Sung Yingsha has, and is Sung Yingsha's preferred doubles partner.  Fan Zhendong has win with Xu Xin or Ma Long as well, and he is Wang Chuqin's preferred doubles partner.  Against elite opposition who are left hand right hand duo, handedness plays a significant role in positioning, if Wang Manyu was left handed, many of the problems she has working with Fan Zhendong would just disappear mysteriously.

The other thing - this pairing doesn't play that much together while Hayata and Harimoto have played over over 2 years together now.  Using that standard to say there are not elite is interesting.  If they continue to use this as a backup team, let's see how it plays out.

Left handed player is so crucial in doubles that is why cnt always keeps one left handed player in their top three players.

Aruna 3-0 Harimoto
55, 95, 96, 106, 107, 117. Hitting the racket edge on that BH at 55 hurt.
50, 56, 76 TO for Harimoto, Dong Qiwen tells Harimoto not to keep defending with the BH, but to attack the high balls with the FH steparound, 86, 87, 97, 98, 108, 1010, 1110, 1111 faint edge for Harimoto, 1211, 1311
01, 11 Harimoto served off the table, 41, 42, 72, 73 net for Harimoto, 83, 86, 106, 107, 117

http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=92275&PID=1139187&title=singapore-smash-2023-3-719#1139187
Quote A. Lebrun just came back from injury. Aruna's overall stats in 2022 were abysmal (losing to LJH 4 out of 4) but he did really well against CNT.

http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=92273&PID=1133736&title=wtt-champions-macao-2022-10-1923#1133736
Quote When playing lower-ranked players, he tends to cover up whenever his FH doesn't work in his favor, leading him to play safe on his BH. The FH issue has been alleviated somewhat with the help of Dong Qiwen but the tendency towards playing safe was still apparent in the match against Falck, where he used 貼 on the BH when he should've have taken a step back and used 撕/帶. In the end, it comes down to the mindset, which affects his stance and footwork.

http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=91046&PID=1135431&title=the-end-of-the-harimoto-dream#1135431
Quote Will see how he handles lower-ranked players next year, especially at WTTC 2023, which will be the real test of his mindset.
