Yes, I wanted to have a very very gentle thumb polish on one handle plate.
My vision was: handle dimensions of Maze/Mizutani ST along with the colours of the original Vis handle and the gentle thumb polish.

Dean, is that a Limba top-ply?  I thought it was, but the grain on this one looks like it could be Ayous or some other wood variant.

The outer play is Limba.
The veneers of the Banda Waldner: Limba-Spruce-Abachi-Spruce-Limba

The same goes for: Donic Waldner, Banda Offensiv, Donic Waldner Offensiv, Waldner Dicon, Donic Waldner Offensiv 40, Donic Waldner Senso V1 und V2

Dean, I don't see that you've listed this blade as "for sale".  What is it's value, if it were for sale, if you don't mind me asking?  thx

meanwhile have sold the Waldner CO  but that Waldner FL isn´t for sale (at least at the moment). I´d say the value depending on current demand could be somewhere between 250-300€. The Waldner CO has an even higher value/demand as it is more. Has been produced less (for a shorter period).

Which Banda Waldners typically play the best (for controlled allrounders)? Or which are preferred by contemporary players who prefer such a blade -- the brown handle (dark top-ply), the brown handle (light top-ply), the blue/yellow stripes handle?

I never played the very first versions (brown handle without lense/with blue lense). Both the brown handle version with white lense and the 90s Waldner with blue/yellow stripes felt the same to me (and the ones I tried had a similar weight of ~85-89g). Banda only changed the handle after Waldner won the title - it was the same blade structure: Limba-Spruce-Abachi-Spruce-Limba

What you can often read and what I also think: The Banda Waldner is one of the best topspin blades ever made, maybe the best.

Butterfly Viscaria ST, 83g (Scarlett J.) - 4th series from 2008-2014
Of course this blade is not available from Butterfly. It was a standard new series Viscaria FL from 2013 (letter N) and now has received a new straight handle with the original lenses worked in into the handle plates. The ST handle has the dimensions of the original Viscaria ST handle. This blade feels and plays fine.

(blade has been sold meanwhile)
