Looks like Eugene is using a non-tenergy butterfly rubber on his forehand as well at the US open. What is all this new stuff??

Maybe Tenergy Hard? I saw him twiddle for smashes... which Timo does too.

The non-tenergy part of my comment was key. It's got like a yellow sponge or something.

Love to see if he can beat Chinese from now on using Dignics 80 and Dignics 5. But wait who actually come up with this Dignics name? It is so uncool. Why not simply call it Tenergy X5 or something performance related by imagination ?

Hi, I've speculated that it is not called Tenergy __ is because it has a distinct top sheet from Tenergy. We seemed to have confirmed it has a distinct sponge. Thanks,

Hi,
One of the intriguing elements here will be the resultant racket combination complexes of the Butterfly professional players, particularly when one considers that Tenergy 05 Hard is very new too, so it would take a Heavyspin to calculate even the reasonable combinations in the Butterfly professional class rubber options. Thanks,

Samsonov is using an orange sponge rubber on his fh (black rubber) in his match vs Lin Gaoyuan.
I have no idea what the rubber might be. I'm guessing the unreleased MX-K?

Vladi is most likely using the K1 Hybrid which (also) has an orange colored sponge. The MX-K was "hyped" for just a very limited time and only released on the korean market. It is said to be a catapult-reduced version of the MX-P, hence offers more control on your shots.

BTW speaking of Vladi.. I just watched his meet and greet.. about 40 minutes long.. he did talk about his blades and rubbers. He said he changes his blades depending on how he feels after tournaments. As for his rubbers he uses MXP and MXS ... he didn't specify which one is FH / BH though.

Dignics--sounds like the name for a Pokeman. Something from a children's cartoon show.

Really hard to see - he was using grip tape. From the bits I saw it looked like the one with the pink-ish bands in the handle he's used before: I'm still not sure what that is though. Vladi makes a lot of changes - he seemed to switch things around during the Top 16. Started with what looked like black hybrid K1 on FH, but later on (in the final) seemed to be using something else (red) on that wing: Other bits - Dima using T05 Hard on FH: Groth also using T05 Hard: Gauzy looks to be using Rasanter on both sides, but his blade has the Treiber CO handle while clearly NOT being a Treiber CO: Edited by AndySmith - 02/06/2019 at 6:18am |

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

Gauzy plays with Gatien Absolum since 2016. Later they put Gauzy Quest handle and now Andro handle.

I watched his very recent interview (in russian).. where he admitted that he switches blades after tournaments depending on the outcome/how he feels. As for the rubbers he says he's been using MXS one side and MXP the other for quite some time (he didn't specify which one is BH vs FH)
