Just wanted to find out how many are on this site.  I thought I was the only one.  I'm sure there at least a handful of us    since TT picked up popularity in the past few years especially in the Phillipines.

By the way,

I'm Sean from Chino Hills, California near Los Angeles.

Mardin,

I play at different ones in my area.  I've only recently gotten serious in the past 3 months but I have visited West Covina, Long Beach, Walnut Rec Cent and the rec center in Chino at the Preserve near the Chino Airport.

Corona is roughly 20-45 minute drive from where I am at.  Depends what area.  Corona Hills side or Riverside Corona area.  Corona is a big city.  One side spans near the Orange County Side and the Other reaches the Riverside County line and also hits parts of the San Bernardino County Line near the Farm Cattle Ranches near CHino.  If you are near the San Bernardino farming area line it is really close.

How long you staying?  What do you do?

- Sean

I think my sister's new place is corona valley or something in orange county. The last time i visited her she was still living in fullerton so i am not familiar with her new place.

Ill be staying in corona just for a few days. Ill be staying in minnesota for week because of a conference then I stopover my sister's place(because my parents are also there).before i go back to the philippines. I need to go back work. (I am a public school teacher). I dont know if i have even time to play because my time there will be short and my parents and sister will maximize my stay.

Yeah that's true.  TT comes second to Family

Especially when my lil boy is getting ready this summer to go to Kindergarten.

Wow that is great that you get to go all over for conferences.  Nice perks.

actually its not a perk for being in the public school( you know how the government is). A friend of mine who i work with in ethnomusicolgy invited me in this conference and he said he will get me sponsors so I can go for free. Since i am in the states already my parents want me to visit them so its like hitting two birds with one stone.

Well good.  Free plus you get to see parents.  Way better than paying $1000USD for plain tickets and hotel.  Great vacation and have fun!

@ SDRamones:
I'm earning an MS degree in Enviromental Engineering.

@ mardim:
of course i miss my old club and my coach at home but so far, the people at the club have been very nice (and are very patient with my limited knowledge of speaking in Korean) and some of them are actually very good. I'm the youngest at the club (next to the little kids anyway) and the only foreigner there.

I haven't yet been able to participate in any local competitions or against other clubs here though, but I hope that will have that opporunity in the future.

Hi felix! Just a question, Dont you find hard using long pips on the backhand when using and off+ blade like kool? Do you chop with the long pips or just block? I am experimenting with shakehand and learning to chop and block using long pips in my backhand.

No I don't, I hit with my long pips. I rarely chop, only when I'm forced away from the table. It's hard when your just learning how to use long pips and it takes a while to get used to it. I've been playing with long pips many years.

Hi there kabayan!!! Another question for you. How does the gatien carbon play? Is it a hard or soft type of blade? How is the weight and feel? I am planning to buy one in the future.

I'm also using long pips now - DHS Cloud & Fog III.

What's your long pips rubber, fasantos?

Hi Table Netters,

For those of you who want to share their email addresses, please do so.  Mine is [email protected].

Who knows, someone might have a plan to visit a certain place and we happen to live there, it would be nice to bring the visitor along to their local club(s).

Rene
