Not related to Kanak, but just a heads up that next season:

Ochsenhausen can be eliminated from playoff contention today if Muhlhausen wins just 2 matches against Saarbrucken (playing without Franziska).

Post SV wins 3-1, and the Oxen are out! Their last match is meaningless.

This MAY have been Kanak's last TTBL match of the season. His record is now a solid 13 wins 12 losses.

After the WTTC, almost everything changed...

In Houston and in the beginning of the TTbl season his service game was world class. As good as anyone. Always changing with excellent combinations.
Now it has lost it's spark and randomness.

Doesn't that kind of suggest that his training program worked?  Athletes can't peak all the time, right?  So it's a shame for his team, but for Kanak individually peaking at WTTC was the right time.

Maybe.  Peaking doesn't mean there should be a massive contrast between your best results and your other results.   That said he did beat Harimoto.  But the WTTC for whatever reason remains a peak moment of sorts.

As expected, Jha sat out today's meaningless match (3-1 for Ochsenhausen thanks to the two Frenchies), he wasn't even on the bench.

Final win-loss records:
Akkuzu 7-2
Gauzy 11-9
Jha 13-12
Kulczycki 8-9
Ball boy 0-7

Ochsenhausen resigned Gauzy for a 1-year contract (through June 2023).

And more surprisingly, they added Shunsuke Togami (20 years, bronze medalist in men's doubles at the 2021 WTTC, winner of men's singles and men's doubles at the 2022 All Japan championships) to their roster. Since he's not a EU citizen, he wouldn't be able to play alongside Kanak Jha in any given league match, so maybe they'll alternate.

With Gauzy on the clear decline, they are in need of a big gun.  It is Togami, who must have been comparatively expensive, due to his credentials.  The prospects are not favorable for Kanak at all now, as you would not "alternate" with the caliber of Togami.

Absolutely there are other places for Kanak's value in this league or another league.

Thanks.

If all the japanese are coming to Europe that leaves little room for other foreigners.  Perhaps Kanak can play in the T league.

It's implied Uda and Togami get paid less than they do for T.League. If they play well, then other foreign players are in for a difficult time.

Less than a month to go until the new TTBL season! Ochsenhausen will start at home against Fulda - Sunday, August 28, at 4pm local.

It seems there will be a new streaming provider and platform (Spontent on twitch.tv).
