Tomorrow at 3pm local / 9am eastern:

In the first meeting between the two clubs, Kanak Jha lost to Kilian Ort 2-3, contributing to the Ochsenhausen loss. Time for revenge?

That Steger beats Gauzy at his age shows how deep the German team is...
I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

Evergreen comes to mind for Steger on that form. Thats a cracking set of wins for someone close to 40.

I haven't seen the matches yet but beating 2 players in the top 30 ITTF rankings is a good days work.

There was time when I used to wonder who would win between Kanak Jha and Eugene Wang from Canada. I know Eugene is older now and retired. But I think Kanak's skill are now better than what I have seen in Eugene.

Any thoughts?

I think Jha beats Wang but I think at his best Eugene is the better player. Even last year, out of prime he has a close match to Darko, I think Darko and Jha are at a similar place. But in his prime he gave a difficult fight to Wang Xi. See how easy Wang Xi handled both Jorgic and Jha this year.

I think Jha has improved his power over the last few years but hasn't really risen much, I think he will end up somwhere with a Habesohn type career, excellent with a few upsets to the best. I also think he should end up way above eugene wang by the time all is said and done. He should hopefully with the resources available to him end up above 30 at some point
