Latest stop on the West Coast Tour.  15 mile hike on day 2.  Only 4 miles on day 3 but that one had about 800 ft drop in 2 miles that was a miserable climb on way back.  Short hikes on Redwood and Lost Man Creeks on day 4 so decided to get in a little shadow practice.



Wanted to get the whole tree in pic, but then I would have been invisible.

Yes and after seeing these redwoods I do have to admit that NOT everything is bigger in Texas.

This was in the Elk Prairie Unit of the Redwood State and National Parks.  The "parks" consist of three units of mixed state and federal land that are co-managed by Ca  and US agencies as a single entity.
