The value of music is relative to how powerful it makes people feel and the bigger picture of themselves they see possible while listening, how it makes their inner game bloom the time of a song, an album, a concert, even a Japanese style karaoke experience will do.
Bill Watrous' version of "the more I see you" with his buddy Danny Stiles does not necessarily have to appeal to a young person; it will under circumstances that older people have nothing to do with, by definition, no matter how well connected they are to the piece.
Whatever we do in life, adding table tennis on top of it will enhance it; music that moves us too; it's our job to find it independently of whatever whoever thinks about music. Not doing that job is passing by a huge resource in life. Same for dancing btw, and the tt footwork will translate directly Big smile.
Note one important thing though: music and dancing without other people is the same than playing ping pong alone after making one side of the table vertical (or play the freaking newgy). Of course a book is still a book even if nobody reads it because the life that went into it did happen; but it's better when it's shared isn't it?

Zoomerwhatever....you have no f**king idea who you're talking to and yet you are making extremely stupid assumptions about me. Your judgemental vitriol is really only a reflection of you.
I'm a musician myself and I have studied music. So I have some preferences for music, since when is that a flaw? Also you have zero idea of my likes just by reading a single post on a table tennis blog. How arrogant of you to make these statements without really knowing me. And yeah hip hop is crap.

Try to be more brief cause im not gonna waste too much of my precious time reading something long and pretentious.

I'll give a listen to the stuff you're listing.But  I never liked bjork, i find she's overrated.

Just because you wrote it does not mean you wrote it correctly & not to leave it for wide interpretation.

This is not grammar.
Poem as a creative form by definition is correctly written and interpreted by the author.

If this would true, then a LOT of English professors would be out of job...

Excellent post by mjamja. Would only be better if he could sing it...

That would be a clear violation of Rule 88.

>I'm a musician myself

clearly not an accomplished or prolific one given the amount of time you spend here

>I have studied music

what a waste of an education, given how you remain closed off to any new music in this era of universal and unprecedented accessibility

>hip hop is crap

how does it feel to be this out of touch and yet this proud of it? listen to death grips, flying lotus and danny brown pleb
